I'm a server on mIRC and i'm constantly getting requests from people for my list. The only thing is that they don't accept the sent request. I have a feeling these people have the AutoGet script. How do I stop AutoGet users from requesting my stuff?

Hey SOO. Not too sure what that error is - I tried to generate it, but couldn't. Be sure you're using the latest mIRC, and that you've installed it to the "default" path. Also, make sure you've connected to a server. Last, try cut/paste the "/load..." command line from my previous comment (instead of trying to type it in). Anyways...

I highly recommend that you use "Avarice" instead. It will automatically connect to networks/channels in the IRC list. It's much less complicated - no script commands and such. You'll find 10 times more stuff on IRC by using that. AutoGet is a "dead" project and hasn't been updated in forever.

You can also try to use other scripts from my "Advanced IRC" page. These are also very good at finding stuff, and ALL are better than AutoGet, as well.

Good luck!

Hey Sharky, thanks for the response, I really didn't think I would get a response! When I enter the script, I get the response, "RS unknown command." Appreciate the help :)

OK, I'll explain it.

The image below is the "window" that comes up after you've connected to a server in mIRC. NOTE: This is not a channel window. Here at the bottom is where you need to enter the script command:

/load -rs autoget/autoget.mrc

Now type in this line in the mIRC main window user prompt (not in the open channel window):

/load -rs autoget/autoget.mrc

What do you mean by the "main window user prompt?" Can someone please clarify this for me because I've tried by trial and error and I still don't get it! Thank you!
