Here is my few days experience with Sciclone Hosting. I went with the 2TB/100mbps Dedicated server / seedbox deal to boost my torrent ratios. Andrew was very helpful in working through some custom options that I wanted to look at . The speeds are great,I use uTorrent for seeding which I found is very easy to use and don’t consume to much system resources. I have used other seedbox and dedicated server companies before,But I did not find such a good service,with such reasonable price.

The most pleasant surprise was,it has a very good up time ratio(till now 99.9%)the help that I got with setting this account up, setting up FTP,Andrew was there at every turn and incredibly responsive. My review is all good so far. I hope to be a long term customer at Sciclone.

To everyone here who is looking for an alternative to torrent flux, you should try torrent relay. It doesn’t require a login and un registered users can just click and go. One advantage over torrent flux is the files are available in the same common window, its much easier to get them and they actually complete in order, meaning first up files complete first letting you download them on the spot while your torrent completes.

I tried torrent flux and found it too cumbersome and torrent relay was a much simpler, neater and often quicker solution. Plus it runs great and easily on my play station 3. http://torrentrelay.com

Thanks, guys! Torrent-core is now gone from the list. I’m trying to remove those bad resellers and over-sellers from this compilation, and keep it clean (and honest). LeechThis has also been removed.

Torrent-core seems a gamble to me. I had some questions a few weeks back and they didn’t have a way to get in touch with them. No email…nothing! I don’t know if that’s changed or not but I’m in no hurry to give them my money.

I had a really bad experience with torrent-core.co.uk. Joined this month, it took 4 days to get my account, and even now the ftp login isn’t working.

But the worst thing is that the service goes down a bunch of times a day. The site is offline atm. I really don’t recommend this service to anyone. The technical support is a joke.

Oh and the servers are located in the US.

Im on SeedLayer plan #2 with very good speeds ups on 700 k/s +- and downs on 3000 k/s +- also fast FTP and server loads. the only drawback i see is not many active torrents :,(
but i can live with it. if you guys want to check it out go to their site http://seedlayer.net/

I wanted to post about my experience with Sciclone Hosting. I contacted Andrew (andrewngo1760@gmail.com) at Sciclone last Friday about getting set up on the 2TB/100mbps seedbox that he mentions above. He was very helpful in working through some custom options that I wanted to look at. I ended up taking the $60 plan mentioned above and was up and running in a couple of days. The speeds are great and having unlimited torrents and RSS is a nice bonus.

One thing that is not often mentioned by seedbox hosting companies is whether or not you get Admin access (you can’t run RSS feeds without it). Sciclone does give you the admin rights to your server, and will even install your own copy of Windows if you want to go that route. The most pleasant surprise was the help that Andrew offered me–he was there at every turn and incredibly responsive. I highly recommend his service.

That isn’t the latest version of Torrentflux and they moved me to the new server and I was still on the old software…which doesn’t have all the features that the new one does.

WeWillHostit is still using the old Torrentflux 2.1…which sux…everyone else I’ve tried is on the newer software….I don’t know why these guys won’t upgrade.

I’m on wewillhostit medium pack and i can c what john said is true but most downloads stays on the 2000k/s more less but great FTP transfers and support been good so far (hope this stays like this for a month @ least)

They fixed alot of stuff, they got a second server, and moved people over to it. Also moved people over to rtorrent.
They have nice download over 3000k/s and recently raised their upload form 300 per torrent to 500 per torrent.
I still use them since it’s pretty good now, they must have hired extra people, because their support is pretty fast.
To recap, they had problems, they fixed them, they are good now.

How long should it take for one of these companies to setup a server? I’ve been waiting more than 24 hours with one of the sites listed here. Is this usually how long it takes?
