There really isn't a good excuse to not take advantage of the seed points system if you have trouble maintaining a good ratio, since all you need to do is leave it seeding and if you are using the seed points system there's a good probability that it's because no one is leeching, meaning you could leave it seeding while doing other torrents in the meantime.
