New Tracker LoveTheScene.net Now Open
June 30, 08 by sharky 1,712 viewsBitTorrent’s newest private tracker, LoveTheScene.net, opened its doors yesterday.
Get in while you can - there’s a 3,500 member limit. LoveTheScene presently lists 205 members and 183 torrents (not too bad for just one day). Uploaders are jam-packing the site with as many torrents as possible - there’s a new one every couple of minutes. LTS is currently set to freeleech for the next week or so; now is the time to build a good ratio.

RSS Feeds
If you’re into RSS torrent feeds, you’ll like LoveTheScene - they’ve really done it right! There’s an RSS feed for every category, PLUS there’s two styles of feeds - "Web" and "Download". For those unfamiliar, ‘Direct Download’ feeds are for use with RSS-enabled torrent clients for automated downloads (not enough trackers offer this great feature). Users can also specify the number of results to be shown in the feed (between 5 and 50), and multiple categories can be combined into the same feed.

Friendly Staff
Surprisingly, there’s a large number of staff at LTS, and all are helpful and non-elitist. Users are encouraged to make requests and even to upload new torrents (although you’ll first need to fill out an uploader form). The forums, while still small, are fun and light.

I wish them the best of luck but as to their “apply to upload” policy, here’s my two cents.
I am a very active and experienced uploader but I don’t upload at sites that require you to fill out an “uploader application”. And why should I? It’s my time, effort, bandwidth, and expense that goes into uploading. The idea that in addition to that I should “apply” to share MY stuff is bullshit. And to top it off, most sites that have this policy have the sheer nerve to ask on the form if you have Scene access. WTF? If I do, I’m certainly not going to tell anyone, much less admit to it on a form to strangers. So, the sites I belong to that demand “applications” get zero uploads from me nor will they ever as long as that policy remains. I know of a number of regular uploaders who feel the same as I do.
“Apply” to upload? If anything, it should be the site “applying” or courting uploaders, not driving them away with a useless and, frankly, insulting policy.

I’ll check it out, but I haven’t seen a single tracker that uses the TS Special Edition v.5.1, in fact, I think I’ll sit on the fence for this one.

Horrible design. It’s probaly a fake fed site or a phishing site. There are too many trackers already. This will not be a success!

That was my first thought, to be honest. The fact that the site is hosted in Dallas, Texas is just too reminiscient of the whole Elite Torrents thing.

TBH, it looks like a tracker made by some kids, who were bored in their holidays. don’t want to be rude or something, but the design’s all “blinky blinky” and posts are usually filled with like 4 smileys at least.
Hosting in the US isn’t very safe, aswell. But we’ll see how this is going to be elaborated.

I must agree with some of the comments this site does look like its been set up by kids who have nothing better to do .
As for filling out a form to be an unloader that sucks if people are going giving up there own time to upload why the fuck should they fill out a form
I would be wary about using this site as it may be a fed set up .
I have been round the torrent world for a long time and haven’t seen a torrent site this bad for along time maybe it will get better in time or it will just die like the rest of the small sites out there who knows but for now i think people should stay away there are better sites out there

The best thing I love bout this site is that ther’s a lota emphasis on building up a lively community which i feel is one of d most quintessential elements of any (love to be at) tracker. Very helpfull n friendly staff. N as far as torrent count’s concerned , its building up faster evry other day….

If you think its made by kids then fine but all scene torrents are on 100mbit servers for fast download and everyone can upload u just fill in upload form to get special usergroup. I helped found this and I love it and am now a staff member, rubbish it all you want but I think it’s the best thing i’ve seen and you can’t have a better staff leader than sc4l3rgrl

One of the best trackers there is. Friendly and helpful staff, Requests, forums, shout box, games and much more! I love the place and would recommend it to anyone. Before you trash the place try spending some time there and chatting to people instead of signing up and only staying for 5 minutes! You’ll find a lot to like.

They have removed 48h seeding time and replace it to 1.0 ratio with could be wery helpful big +:)
I don`t like the lay of the site (also the engine) for me is too “noisy”, but i found there few really rare things another big + so I hope they will stay and grown.
