Fux0r Becomes the Fifth Tracker To Use Gazelle Code
August 05, 08 by sharky 2,311 views
A new adult tracker aptly named ‘Fux0r’ is only the fifth BitTorrent tracker to utilize the shiny new Gazelle codebase. Aside from What.cd, the other three include nTorrents, Vortex Network and SaveTheCoratee. Look to sign up to Fux0r at http://gazelle.fux0r.eu.

Project Gazelle, the revolutionary tracker codebase from the creative minds behind What.cd, is still at least two weeks away from an official first release candidate, yet it’s already available to aspiring BitTorrent communities through What.cd:
Gazelle RC1 will be accessible via controlled SVN access, granted to the any of following people who ask for it:
1. Admistrators of other trackers
2. VIPs on What.CD
3. People who are interested and truly motivated in starting up their own trackers. In order to qualify for this position, you must already have a domain name, server, staff, and ‘business plan’ that ensures that you won’t become like one of the other thousand trackers that no one has ever heard of.Once we’ve let RC1 run for a month or two without finding any serious bugs or exploits, we’ll open up public SVN access, and anyone who wants can check out Gazelle.
Here’s the official posting for Hey Fux0r:

If you can see into our crystal ball, Gazelle will become the standard for all trackers - and with What.cd now offering it to qualifying admins and developers - look for it to start popping up all over.
UPDATE: Sept. 10/08 - It looks as though Fuxor is going to remain a ratio-free tracker, making it the first ‘adult’ tracker to adopt this approach.
