The recent fiasco that involved Martin, ReeGed
and the gang has been (somewhat) resolved. The recent
[exodus](../../../08/11/is-rlslognet-nearing-its-end/ “Is RLSLOG nearing
its end?”) of the seven RLSLOG editors didn’t take long to settle in on
a new home. Not only have they set up a great new scene-release blog,
coolly named Zerosec, but they’ve managed to sneak out with the
original RLSLOG Forums database, as well. Great news for RLSLOG forum
fans - users are able to login with their old account info.
As opposed to what many had expected, the RLSLOG 7 did not go over to the competition (ScnSrc.net or SceneReleases.info), but started up their own scene release blog instead. To quote Phara from ZeroSec’s IRC channel when asked about the decision to write for another site, she deadpanned, “My thinking is basically is if you are at the point where you would leave something that you love then you don’t go to another site, but rather create your own”. Well put.
On the new blog, ReeGed has but one focus, and that’s to pump out quality release info, “It’s been a long 2 weeks or so since the drama on the “Previous Site” happened, but it’s time to move on. At the end of the day, you the readers want the best service. ZeroSec is here to provide exactly that. We just opened up our doors and have provided you with some articles so that the site does not look completely empty, but it is the service that we will provide from this day on that is going to matter.” So far there’s already a ton of new articles, proof that Zerosec means business. I’ve never seen such a happy bunch of guys (and gals) on IRC!
Be sure to check out the new site at (link removed). The original (but new) forums can now be found at http://forums.zerosecond.org.

I guess it’s good they made their own site… Might turn out to be something nice
But, imo this whole “scandal” has been taken a bit too far… Someone
likes $… and? IMO it is a bit cowardly stealing their db and what
ever they did… But, not my call… I guess I’ll be reading that site
in the future

Money seems to **** everything up. They helped build their forums, **** it, let them keep it.
lol Says:
@1: The forum was hosted by ReeGed, Martin defaced it after ReeGed left RLSLOG - so the database was never stolen - it’s even on the same host as before.
lol2 Says:
@lol exactly martin crippled it and it was always reegeds forums
asdfgh Says:
martin is a scammer/phiser who want to steal innocent peoples money
Chris Hanlon Says:
If you read the MSN chat, and Martin’s reply, It sounds like ReeGed is a total dick. He has a much better argument IMHO
Chris Hanlon Says:
I mean matin has a better argument
Redirect Says:
Even if this site goes on to become one of the better scene release index sites, they still owe it to the RLSLOG hack for the increased traffic. But then again not many sites who start of by hacking and hijacking rivals survive in the long term.
martin Says:
http://Www.filenest.com, is also a competitor.
Those guys are fast, in posting….
orlando Says:
http://www.freshlap.com all new Release
BoB Says:
You both suck and made your beef public…lame.
Iwillsearch4you does the same thing but has now been posting tons of single click links.
Also, who cares if rlslog has pay per click and other ads on there to pay for hosting? Money is needed for hosting….a hacked website won’t last with that amount of traffic.
The downloader does not have to pay for warez/movies, so let him make money for hosting.
Also to the two idiots above, your slow at new releases and zerosec owns that for now, also Rapidshare links are only posted in abundance becase they offer points for clicked times and the owner gets either download points or prizes like marlboro cigerettes did and newport cigs…..clocks cameras flashlights and other stupid shit.
greek Says:
Some guys from rlslog move to http://www.e-tv4u.com

I kinda agree with the guy actually but I don’t think ReeGeed is as bad as Martin
Casno Says:
lol remember Martin made this biz mate. You dont know how much it cost to run a server, ad money is not enough. Litspeed itself costs $50 + cPanel $30 + $lets say $400 for a decent server (offshore that is). So i wouldn’t really take the money and advertisement argument any further.

But where the hell is Mr X??
Chriz Says:

martin ure a greedy, cheap, cheating man. U post ads of usenet.nl which is a scam site, and disable the comments, so nobody can warn the users. People watch out for them, when u sign up for a free trial, it says with a small font on a huge terms and conditions page, that they will charge u almost 100$ for a years subscription, if u dont cancel in 2 weeks. Many people got cheated this way. Martin must be getting well paid to post that add, every week, with disabled comments. Well f**** done mate. Keep it up
