Complete List Of Torrent Seedbox Services - Part II

January 19, 09 by sharky   19,984  views

A continuation from the last article, here are 20 additional seedbox providers. We personally tested many of these seedbox providers, and give our personal opinion where applicable - much of which can be found here. Configurations and services vary greatly, due to the fact that most seedbox hosts offer shared systems & resources. However; some offer dedicated seedboxes, whereby you’ll be the only one using the server.

Provider: Seedbox.me

BT Interface: TorrentFlux.
Connection: 100 Mbit (shared).
Price: Starting at $10/mo, up to $50.
Hard Drive Storage: 5 GB to 50 GB.
# of Torrents: 3 to 15 active torrents.
Access To Files: FTP, http.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unmetered.
Watch out for: Slow connection speeds on their low-end packages; setup fees of £65 for some of the services.

About: Seedbox.me has five different TorrentFlux plans, all of which are on unmetered 100 Mbit lines. Their "Orange Seedbox" package comes with a "3 active torrent" limit and 5 GB storage for just $10/mo. All accounts come with both HTTP downloading (via TFlux) and FTP access, and all are unlimited bandwidth. Looking for a little more? Seedbox.me’s ‘Blue’ seedbox comes with 5 active torrents and 10 GB storage.

Provider: Seedbox.fr

BT Interface: TorrentFlux, uTorrent (and "Seedbox.fr interface", whatever this is).
Connection: 100 Mbit (shared).
Price: Starting at €3 (Euro), €9, and €19.75 (plus extras…)
Hard Drive Storage: 8 GB to 250 GB (configurable).
# of Torrents: 3 to unlimited.
Access To Files: FTP, http.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unlimited.
Watch out for: Horrible user reviews, poor service, & lacklustre customer service…

About: SeedBox.fr probably offers one of the most affordable multi-torrent seedbox packages we’ve ever seen. For just €3 (Euro), users get 8 GB storage, 3 active torrents, 1 FTP account and unlimited bandwidth on a 100 Mbit (shared) connection. For €9, users get a substantial upgrade in service with 30 GB storage, 15 active torrents and 5 FTP accounts. There’s also the option to configure (customize) your own server, starting at €19.75. We’ve heard absolutely nothing positive about Seedbox.fr, although we’ve never tried them to confirm this. Someone once warned me: "Avoid any seedbox provider that has "torrent" or "seed" in their URL name".

Provider: TorrentSeeding.com

BT Interface: unknown
Connection: 100 Mbit (shared).
Price: $12.99/month.
Hard Drive Storage: 40 GB.
# of Torrents: 6
Access To Files: FTP (http access unknown).
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unlimited.
Watch out for: Lame website.

About: No frills whatsoever on their website - either they have accounts open or they don’t - and just one option. Still, for $13 which gives unlimited (unmetered) bandwidth, 40 GB storage and a 6-torrent limit, you can’t go wrong with TorrentSeeding.

Provider: Obtrix.net

BT Interface: TorrentFlux.
Connection: 100 Mbit to 1 GBit.
Price: $10/mo. to $95/mo.
Hard Drive Storage: 10 GB to 150 GB.
# of Torrents: 3 to unlimited.
Access To Files: FTP, http, wget.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unlimited.
Watch out for: Small setup fee.

About: At last check, all TorrentFlux accounts at Obtrix were sold out, regardless of plan selection. Their "Torrent Advanced" plan (and up) allows for multiple sub-accounts and admin access, starting at $30 a month.

Provider: GetByte2U.com

BT Interface: uTorrent WebUI.
Connection: 100 Mbit to 1 GBit.
Price: $16/mo. to $49/mo.
Hard Drive Storage: varies.
# of Torrents: 2 and up.
Access To Files: FTP.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: varies.
Watch out for: Confusion on available plans; varying upload speed on different packages.

About: Until you actually hit the "Checkout" - that’s when you figure out the options for the chosen account. It would appear that accounts are either "Seeder" or "Downloader" (µTorS or µTorD). Bandwidth varies for each. I successfully tested out an account at GetByte2U, and I remember that it had amazing speed, but for the life of me I don’t remember which specific account I had.

Provider: IAM2HOST.com

BT Interface: TorrentFlux-b4rt.
Connection: 100 Mbit.
Price: $25/mo. to $43/mo.
Hard Drive Storage: 35 GB to 60 GB.
# of Torrents: 5 to 10.
Access To Files: FTP, http.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unmetered; unlimited.
Watch out for: Small active torrent limits.

About: Just three plans are offered at IAM2HOST - with 5, 7 or 10 torrents. Storage ranges between 35 and 60 GB, and all accounts are on unmetered/unlimited 100 Mbit lines.

Provider: mybox.pfcorner.eu

BT Interface: uTorrent WebUI.
Connection: 100 Mbit to 1 GBit.
Price: €4/mo. (Euro) to €145/mo.
Hard Drive Storage: varies.
# of Torrents: 24 to 32.
Access To Files: FTP.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unmetered; and variable upload ‘blocks’.
Watch out for: Plan option confusion; unfriendly website; expensive.

About: Live and learn: If you own FSF, don’t mention this to a seedbox provider, since it likely could affect the quality of the "test" service. Perhaps we received preferential treatment (for whatever that’s worth), and we quite liked the seedbox and the service. Apparently not everyone feels the same way. PFCorner offers 2 different plan options - seedboxes that are sold in upload bandwidth ‘blocks’; and unmetered services.

Provider: SeedboxWorld.com

BT Interface: uTorrent WebUI.
Connection: 100 Mbit.
Price: £10/mo. (GBP) to £40/mo.
Hard Drive Storage: 30 to 200 GB.
# of Torrents: 5 to 45.
Access To Files: FTP only.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unmetered, unlimited on all accounts.
Watch out for: Low torrent limit on some accounts.

About: SeedBoxWorld is set up using a torrent tracker interface (TS Special Edition) and serves up a variety of plans - all using uTorrent WebUI. For £10/mo. (GBP), customers get 5 active torrents and 30 GB storage. "All our seedbox accounts come with full unlimited transfers on 100 Mbit lines, no catches no gimmicks."

Provider: Seednet.eu

BT Interface: wTorrent/rtorrent; uTorrent; TorrentFlux (your choice).
Connection: 100 Mbit and 1 Gbit.
Price: $18/mo. to $65/mo.
Hard Drive Storage: 50 to 500 GB.
# of Torrents: unlimited.
Access To Files: FTP (unlimited #).
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unmetered, unlimited on all accounts.
Watch out for: Nothing; no limits.

About: Seednet.eu offers very affordable VPS-style shared seedboxes that come with root/VNC access and a Control Panel (we like this!) that start at just $18/mo. Each account comes configured with wTorrent webGUI, with rtorrent as the client backend - to start torrenting, users simply need to set up a username and password at the wTorrent GUI. Seednet’s starter $18 package comes with a maximum of 4 users per server, 50 GB storage, 100 Mbit connection, unmetered monthly bandwidth, unlimited FTP accounts, unlimited torrents, and even the ability to add websites on the server. Can’t beat that!

Provider: EliteSeedbox.com

BT Interface: uTorrent WebUI.
Connection: 100 Mbit.
Price: €21/mo. (Euro) to more than €100/mo. (plus extras)
Hard Drive Storage: 20 GB to 225 GB.
# of Torrents: unlimited.
Access To Files: FTP.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: 500 GB to 10 TB.
Watch out for: Small setup fee (€5); FTP downloading is not "free".

About: EliteSeedbox charges for both the storage space and the bandwidth, which you’ll figure out when accessing the purchase options. Your total monthly cost is the sum of the storage plus bandwidth prices. Bandwidth allotment includes the total of all uploads and downloads through FTP, as well as uploads and downloads of torrents - this will cost you if you download your finished torrents back to your PC.

Provider: Seedbox.ws

BT Interface: TorrentFlux (default); uTorrent WebUI; rtorrent available.
Connection: 100 Mbit full duplex (shared and dedicated options).
Price: €15.80/mo. (Euro) to €90/mo. (plus setup)
Hard Drive Storage: 44 GB to 720 GB.
# of Torrents: unlimited.
Access To Files: FTP, FTPES, http.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unlimited.
Watch out for: Setup fees (€10 to $68); uTorrent WebUI is a one-time extra cost of $5 (but comes with VNC access).

About: Seedbox.ws accounts are quite flexible, and rtorrent - or other clients - can even be set up (for a one-time extra cost of $10). Their "Seedbox Solobox-1" package (at $95/mo.) is suitable for someone looking to become a reseller. Note: Public trackers are not allowed on any of the accounts (and shouldn’t ever be added to any seedbox).

Provider: Seedbox.at

BT Interface: uTorrent WebUI.
Connection: 100 Mbit and 1 Gbit.
Price: $35/mo. to $180/mo.
Hard Drive Storage: 10 GB to 720 GB.
# of Torrents: 15 to unlimited.
Access To Files: FTP.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: all are unlimited, except the "VPS" package, which is capped at 1 TB/mo.
Watch out for: nothing bad to report.

About: Currently, Seedbox.at is running a promotion for a VPS seedbox, which comes with 10 GB storage & 1000 GB/mo. bandwidth - for a cost of $35 for three months. Seedbox.at specializes in dedicated seedboxes (not shared) which are located in Germany and France, and start at a price of $95/mo. Quite flexible, you can choose a clean OS with root access or "Ready2Go" edition with installed uTorrent (with WebUi), FTP, Remote Desktop, Firefox. If you’re looking for a shared seedbox, there’s just one plan option which comes with unlimited bandwidth, 200 GB storage and 15 active torrents, all for $35 a month.

Provider: SeedBoxen.net

BT Interface: wTorrent/rtorrent
Connection: 1 Gbit dedicated.
Price: €8/mo. (Euro) to €42/mo.
Hard Drive Storage: 8 GB to 85 GB.
# of Torrents: unlimited.
Access To Files: FTP.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: 120 GB to 1100 GB limitation.
Watch out for: Capped monthly bandwidth.

About: The low monthly bandwidth caps are SeedBoxen’s downfall, since all servers are situated on a speedy 1 Gbit dedicated connection - you will assuredly use up all of your allotment before the month is up. SeedBoxen uses rtorrent for the BitTorrent client, with wTorrent as the GUI.

Provider: FNARG

BT Interface: TorrentFlux?
Connection: unknown.
Price: $15 / 3 mo. to $75 / 3 mo.
Hard Drive Storage: 5 GB to 30 GB.
# of Torrents: unlimited.
Access To Files: FTP, http.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: 40 GB to 300 GB limitation.
Watch out for: Tiny monthly bandwidth cap; 3 month minimum signup; FTP/Web downloading is counted towards the cap.

About: Currently sold out of accounts, FNARG implements some serious bandwidth caps on all plans - not an option for heavy seeding. For $5 a month, you’ll get a lowly 40 GB of bandwidth (very easy to use up in a single day). Downloading the completed torrents back to your PC via FTP or HTTP is also charged against your cap.

Provider: WeWillHostIt.com

BT Interface: TorrentFlux
Connection: 100 Mbit and 1 Gbit.
Price: $8/mo. to $50/mo.
Hard Drive Storage: 5 GB to 55 GB.
# of Torrents: unlimited.
Access To Files: FTP (by request), http.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unlimited.
Watch out for: Small storage GB on low-end accounts.

About: The last time we checked, WWHI only used the inferior TorrentFlux (not b4rt), although we’re not sure if this has changed. For $8 a month, users get a 5 GB drivespace and unlimited bandwidth/torrents. Soon to be released will be their new line of ctorrent/rtorrent configurations - worth keeping an eye out for.

Provider: SeedCafe.info

BT Interface: uTorrent WebUI
Connection: 100 Mbit and 1 Gbit.
Price: $15/mo. (USD) to €62/mo. (Euro)
Hard Drive Storage: 30 GB to 320 GB.
# of Torrents: 4 to unlimited.
Access To Files: FTP.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: 250 GB to unlimited. (only upload is counted on the cap)
Watch out for: Bandwidth limits on packages 5 - 8.

About: With SeedCafe, unless you go with their dedicated seedbox, you’ll have to make some hard choices on their shared plans: Either you get unlimited torrents on a 1 Gbit connection, but there’s a bandwidth cap; or, you opt for an unlimited-bandwidth 1 Mbit plan, but the number of active torrents is limited.

Provider: SeedPlace.org.uk

BT Interface: uTorrent WebUI
Connection: 100 Mbit and 1 Gbit.
Price: €10/mo. (Euro) to €120/mo.
Hard Drive Storage: 18 GB to 250 GB.
# of Torrents: 4 to unlimited.
Access To Files: FTP.

Their ’shared seedboxes’ start at €10 for 4 active torrents and unmetered transfers.

Connection: 100 Mbit.
Price: $23/mo.
Hard Drive Storage: Flexible.
# of Torrents: 7.
Access To Files: FTP.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unlimited.
Watch out for: Just one plan. Read the FAQ & Rules link.

Provider: SuperSeedbox.com

BT Interface: uTorrent WebUI
Connection: 100 Mbit.
Price: $15/mo. to $80/mo.
Hard Drive Storage: 30 GB to 100 GB.
# of Torrents: 4 to unlimited.
Access To Files: FTP.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unmetered, unlimited.
Watch out for: torrent limits.

About: 5 different plan options at SuperSeedbox, but only the $80 ‘Platinum’ account allows for unlimited torrents. To quote, "We provide refunds if you’re not satisfied with the service within 24 Hours".

Provider: GreatSeedbox.info

Hard Drive Storage: 25 GB to 100 GB.

  4. 04   •   BOB Says:

seedbox.fr is terribly slow and oversold not even worth the name seedbox.
The ftp speed to get your files local is even worse less than 100kbit/s max
They allow 30GB storage but it’s your job to keep an eye on it! I went over 30GB and they just deleted my account. I have to reorder to get it activated again. I don’t think so.
I wish I had this revue before I ever order at seedbox.fr
    BE WARNED!!!

  5. 05   •   Great Seedbox Says:

    Hi there,
There is a little typo with your post,
“and a small maximum of just two users per server”
2 per server means only 2 people PER server. That means I will only put two torrentflux resellers on the server. You can create UNLIMITED accounts.

And the server specs are 4 GB ram with an Intel Core2Duo processor. Please correct your error in the post :)

  6. 06   •   OVHSUCKS Says:

Unfortunately almost all the listed sites in Part1/Part2 are just OVH resellers…

  7. 07   •   Seedbox.ws dude Says:

Seedbox.ws SoloBoxes actually do allow public trackers, because if we get a C&D notice that has legal jurisdiction, we can comply without harming our other customers.
Also, SoloBoxes have no fees for any torrent client that can run on linux or through wine.. all you pay is the server costs.

  8. 08   •   Armaan Says:

    Never opt for seedbox.fr
They are crap and give very low speeds and moreover it takes around 15 mins to add 1 torrent and another 15 if you want to remove.

  9. 09   •   Armaan Says:

    Sorry for the bump …

    pls include

seedhost.net , they got 1gbps boxes with better pricing than others and option to take keyweb or ovh

  12. 012   •   Allen Says:

Yeah Cheap man, but what config ..

Also Cheapseedbox should have not been reviewed, do they god damn have a box available even once..

I would take any seller who sells a 1gbit for 20e with 100gb hdd and shared connection with r and wTorrent stable .8.2 config with no RAM issues. rT ftw..

  13. 013   •   wh3n0t Says:

TorrentSeeding.com is terribly slow. 100 to 300 KB only.

  14. 014   •   Rollo Says:

Why doesn’t anyone offer Azureus? Don’t bother posting that its a resource pig [it isn't] or that utorrent rox [it doesn't].

  15. 015   •   Heather Says:

Seedhost.net sucks , they take ages to setup accounts and then cant setup uT or other clients properly. Support takes hours to respond, respond like robots and no human touch.

  16. 016   •   Manda Says:

Avoid Obtrix. They emailed me last week that my box had been “compromised” with all data lost. No word on when it’ll be up again. Even Seedbox.fr was more dependable than this.

  17. 017   •   koopah Says:

Im at seedbox.fr and everything works fine. Of course webui is slow, but speed is pretty good and hard disk storage very large.

    Seednet.eu Review
Vey happy with price and features ordered the casual seedbox plan and had my account going within 30 mins downloading at speeds of 3000k a sec. hard to report on upload speeds yet. what really Impressed me was the support they gave after I deleted the torrent client, sent them a support ticket they were professional and replied quickly and followed through till the issue was resolved.

lots of options to allow me to host a web site on the server as well

  26. 026   •   Jalgan Says:

I have had a uTorrent seedbox with seedbyte.com for 3 months now. I always have had speeds good speeds. Never once was their downtime. Their staff have been extremely helpful and have guided me along the way. They use ssl for FTP which gives you a secure connection/encrypted to their servers.

  27. 027   •   CvD Says:

UKFileSite has “new” owners and it has become a shady company. I do *not* recommend using them. See this thread. The new owners want to continue using the name, but do not want to give back money to people that paid but never got their service when it all went down the drain a month ago.

  28. 028   •   Ian Says:

    WeWillHostIt - Sucks flat-out
    Seedbox.fr - When I left, overcrowded
SeedboxWorld - Expensive but you generally get what you pay for. OTOH my server would randomly die (memory usage peak?), and never could get data rates of more than 20 Mbit (2 Mbyte) per second on uploads. Their servers are KeyWeb.

WeWillHostIt runs out of some US outfit with non-premium bandwidth. Seedbox.fr runs off of OVH directly.

TorrentShare.pl uses Kimsufi boxes for the actual torrenting, LeaseWeb (I think) for the web side of things. So far download speeds are clow; my home Comcast connection can pull stuff down faster, even when network managment has placed latency squarely in the crapper for uploading too much in a 15 minute time span.

Wonder what Kimsufi direct would be like? I might know enough French to buy one.

If I had my choice, I’d get a server with 10TB.com, collocate with UberBandwidth, get a server at FDCServers or maybe one at GigeNet. I’m Stateside and these guys have good networks and high transfer caps, but things are also rather expensive.

Might ask FDCServers about their $79 per month 10TB content delivery server. Has a 10 Gbit port (no kiding!) and 10TB of bandwidth. Bet you could get that thing seeding at a gigabit per second. They’re using TATA (formerly TeleGlobe) and Comcast right now for connectivity in their new datacenter…

  29. 029   •   JR Says:

i had tried services from getbyte2u.com, well speed was amazing on their special utorrent package and you got a shared directory on ftp which you will find pretty much files that others users downloaded useful.

I have multiple seedboxes from different places running atm, and imo seedbox.fr absolutely stinks. Speeds are not good but not terribly bad either, but such a bad interface is just unacceptable. Half the time i can’t connect to either web interface or the remote GUI (which sucks even more than the web UI)

    Stay away from seedbox.fr!

  40. 040   •   bill Says:

Superseedbox worked for a few hours then the client crashed and you aren’t given access to reboot utorrent. I asked to cancel the service within 24 hours and opened a support ticket. It wasn’t until 2 weeks later and zero communication that they contacted me AFTER I disputed the charge.

JMHservices.com has amazing speeds and great support, also give you remote desktop.

  41. 041   •   NEVERENDER Says:

seedhost.net = great service, good prices, and most of all they are very FAST, using their 1gbps shared package for 3 months now and it is awesome, been using seedhost.eu before and was very disapointed.

  42. 042   •   olle Says:

Seedcafe.info.Have been with them for 4 mo. now and they have been great. All stupid questions being new to seedboxes and other minor details was answered fast.Good pricing too.Can recommend them highly.

Stay away from dediseedbox.com. This guy is a real winner. Things went pretty well for the first month I had the box, but on the last day of the month, it died. I kept trying to find out what was going on via email, but no answer. Since I had already paid for the second month four days before, I just kept filing tickets and waiting for a response. It took a while to figure out that I’d been scammed.

Go out to the homepage, http://www.dediseedbox.com. Check out their shared plans. I have plan 2. Notice that there are “-2″ available. That means they sold something they didn’t have. I filed a complaint with Paypal but unless it’s an eBay transaction, they could really care less. However, after I filed it, the box came up at 10am on Mon but was gone again by 10pm. Nothing since. Can someone explain to me how you have “-2″ available?

Save your money and find a reliable provider. This guy isn’t one of them.

  46. 046   •   r0ck$tar Says:

Jo A Glaze have you any proof to substantiate your claims?

Myself and several friends use dediseedbox.com and are very happy and highly recommend them.

  47. 047   •   KC Says:

    Hey, politkix
From your post date, it has been more than a month since you use the seedbox.cc, it is still good? How is the speed, performance, UI, etc?
I like the price (I am not a heavy user), but I want to know, how’s the 2 storage system works?
If I indeed go for it, I will probably buy the basic plan with 15 torrent one.

    I am proud of using superseedbox.com :-)
The webUI is fast, never hangs. The upload speed is great! More than enough to satisfy myself.
The best of all, I got discount after chat with the sales :p

Now I can relax while seeding to empornium, LOL.

    VERY RECOMMENDED!!

    Stay AWAY from seedbox.fr
Low speed, long delevery delay and bad connectivity.
This is the first and the last time when I buy from them.

If you need a seedbox, you should use the SceneBox service. It’s very reliable. I like it. :D

Please be careful with Obtrix. My expectations were not that high since it was cheap and I did not mind the occasional downtime, but it has been down for the last 4 days, and they keep saying they are working on it and will be up in the next few hours…but still down.

My month was about to finish anyway, so I have already paid for a seedbox in a different company.
