Looking for a quick invite to Spotify? A Swedish website up at Lakka.se has been freely handing out Spotify invites at a torrid pace for the last two weeks. We’ve been keeping a keen eye on this site for the past few days, and it would appear that Lakka somehow obtains approximately 1,000 new Spotify invites each day - and then doles them out unconditionally via email. So what’s the catch? Nothing whatsoever - you just need a valid email address. But you need to act fast (or come back the next day), since all offered invites get snapped up rather quickly.

If invites are still available for the day, an email box will be presented at Lakka.se - just pop in a valid email address (Gmail is recommended) and wait. Back in Gmail, the message may be titled "Spotify konto från lakka!". TIP: A good time to check Lakka for fresh invites is 8:00 AM EDT.

Finding Spotify Invites on IRC

All invites gone for the day, and you don’t want to wait until tomorrow for a Spotify invite? Try this IRC tip:

1. — Join an IRC Network: For example, Quakenet and select a random server (such as “Random UK server”).

2. — Join the #spotify channel. Depending on which bot is presently online (just read the channel’s opening message) either type /msg spot!fy !invite or /msg spotify !invite

3. — You’ll be messaged in a new window, which contains a working link to your spotify invitation. Don’t forget to say ‘thanks’ in the main #spotify channel. TIP: The bot that gives out invites is down from time to time, just try again later or wait in the channel.

    I must have forgotten to say thanks because I’m just not so excited about Spotify… I mean I already have what.cd, and I use justhearit.com also.

    Spotify doesn’t fill any need for me… The radios are really great, but I rarely listen to any radio anyway.

    I’ve been trying to get in for a long time though, they seem to block a LOT of proxies or something. Thanks for this great article Sharky. Once again.

    Spotify may die since the record labels fuck an excellent invention again due to fkn copyright… spotify now have country boundaries meaning that some of the songs cant be played if your not from that specific country and alot of songs and artists have been taken of the music archive cuz of record labels and some lameass groups cough Metallica cough…
