Torify.eu - Search & Browse Multiple Private Trackers

Last month, we reported about berrypi.com, the Internet’s first publicly-available private tracker metasearch website. Now we introduce Torify.eu - a Web 2.0-style next-gen search engine for your private trackers that does much more than just search the sites that you’re logged in to. In fact, Torify displays a list of the indexed torrents for your chosen trackers - all in the same window.

Logging in / Using Torify

You’ll first need to register an account at Torify before you can begin. If you’re concerned about security (and you should be), do not enter a username and/or password that you have used on a torrent forum or private tracker. Use something unique. On the registration page, select the private trackers that you have accounts at, and click "Register", and proceed to login. This is so that when conducting a search, only torrents from those trackers will show in the results.

Once logged in, you can always select or remove trackers from your list in the "Profile" tab (this is why you need to register/login in the first place).

1-Click Private Torrent Downloading

What makes Torify.eu even more remarkable is that when you click a download link, it won’t launch another browser instance of the source tracker if you’re already logged in to them. The torrents are just 1-click away, and downloading them automatically uses your correct passkey for each one. If you’re not logged in when selecting a torrent from a listed tracker, Torify will then proceed to launch a new tab where you’ll have the opportunity to login.

For now, only 8 different trackers are supported: SceneHD, SeedIt, Swebits, SweDVDR, SweTV, TorrentBytes, Torrentleech and SoftTorrents. We’ve received word that more trackers are on the way, so stay tuned.

Without question, Torify needs a little work - but it’s great eye-candy. The torrents are automatically arranged by seeds (highest to lowest), and unfortunately the columns are not sortable, so Torrentleech takes most of the top slots when browsing all of the indexed torrents. Also, there’s only 100 maximum torrents displayed (and no "next page" function). However; the search feature works great for comparing seed/leech numbers, as well as for release names, sizes and types.

We found some issues with the search function - for example, we searched for the brand-new release, "Rachel Getting Married" which came up blank for all trackers. Thus, it’s not a "live" search but one from an older cache.

All-in all, a great first effort from the creator(s) of Torify!

Very nice ! For the moment it’s not interesting enough because of the very limited number of trackers, but I watch it now :-)

Do you got problem when you register or when you sign in? If you got problem when you sign in, just register a new account. Currently I got 23 users that never signed in after creating the account, probably causing by some bug.
