Easy aXXo - A Torrent Site For Real aXXo Releases Only

Looking at traffic statistics for torrent sites, one could only correctly surmise that the vast majority of torrenters are still steadfastly using public trackers such as Mininova and The Pirate Bay. And when it comes to movies, only one name generates a gigantic buzz for the latest film releases - and that’s aXXo - Hollywood’s reviled nemesis.
Widespread popularity on any public P2P network will also predictably breed copycats, scams, fake torrents and malware - just about everything that can possibly go awry with a torrent can also be tied to the household name of aXXo. If you’re sick and tired of having to weed through all the fake aXXo torrents out there, then here’s a new torrent site - aptly named Easy aXXo - that’s serving up only genuine aXXo torrents.

EasyaXXo takes out all of the guesswork when searching for aXXo torrents. They provide only the official aXXo releases, in a well-organized release blog format. There’s movie descriptions, user comments, YouTube movie trailers, posters, and torrents (of course!). One thing you won’t find on EasyaXXo is other groups’ torrents - it’s purely aXXo rips, and that’s it - 306 movies in all!
Caveat: All torrents at EasyaXXo link only to real, working aXXo releases (currently to mininova.org). While the provided torrents should be assumed to be error-free and valid, be advised that they still use public trackers in them.

Depends on the material: 700MB is all that’s required for some content… that’s just the nature of XviD. A not insignificant number of DVD movies simply cannot be encoded to 1.4GB size as the XviD codec is at the highest quality and still well below 1.4GB file size.
Wouldn’t touch an aXXo release myself but I guess for people that don’t know any better this is good though.

Well.. Can’t personally see the flamewar agains aXXo? Haven’t DLed aXXo releases for a LONG time, but from what I remember, they weren’t that bad? They’re not packed in rars, which helps them be seeded forever and ever, and they got tons of seeds making them really fast compared to others? Don’t download them myself, but don’t see the point in flaming :/

Theres nothing wrong with aXXo rips, that was the only name I’d go to when looking for movies in my public tracker days (Even seen a few on private sites that say axxo). Fine quality, decent selection of movies, no rars, many seeders.
aXXo has more balls then any of the private tracker groups, I bet you that aXXo is on the MPAA/RIAA most wanted list. Biggest movie releaser on public torrents.
But about the article, the site is really un-needed, like many said, just go to his profile on Mininova.
Or like the one person, http://superfundo.org/, has all the big names in the public torrent world. A lot of ads but oh well, free movies.

I’m quite certain that aXXo doesn’t re-encode XviD releases - the quality loss is not there IMHO.
Perhaps he rips scene DVD releases, which in most cases are re-encoded to MPEG2 by release groups (in order to convert video from original DVD9 that is larger than DVD-R to DVD-R size). This would lead to a (small?) loss in quality in comparison to an original DVD video encoded to XviD.
Actually for a large number of titles aXXo quality is fine - comparable to scene and I doubt many could tell the difference (I cannot in some cases). However, for another large group of titles aXXo doesn’t use large enough filesizes for the particular content, it seems he just doesn’t believe in 2 CD size rips. Which means this group of titles is significantly lower in quality.
Seems people just keep repeating over and over “he re-encodes” which I doubt many of the people who say this have any clue about other than they read it and like to feel they are in the know.

i for one think axxo’s stuff is just fine
its small enough to store without busting
my wallet on hard drives.
700mb gets me about twice the value out of a hard
drive then a 1.4g moves does, and takes less time downloading
and file transfering,
even the big 4g or 5g blueray torrents are nice to look at but not worth the space
to store all of them
