Private tracker sysops & admins may have a brand-new headache on their hands with Ratio Faker. Self praising, “Ratio Faker can help you keep a good ratio in private bittorrent trackers.” Actually, Ratio Faker is a new third-party utility that can (and probably will) assist you in getting banned from your favorite private trackers. It works through your existing BitTorrent client by reporting inaccurate upload and download stats to the tracker, thus boosting your ratio. Hey, at the very least you’ll go out with a good ratio, before finding yourself unable to login.
Ratio Faker
Ratio Faker works through an HTTP proxy (127.0.0.1) which must be set in the BitTorrent client, say µTorrent. Once this is changed, run Ratio Faker and use the same port number.
Randomized Upload Ratio
Unlike GreedyTorrent - which doesn’t allow for users to select a random modification ratio, Ratio Faker will report a random value between a pre-configured set of numbers. It offers the possibility to generate a random value in every announce, like in a real BitTorrent transfer scenario. In theory, this would make it much more difficult to detect.
Does it work? In a word, yes. We tested it with both uTorrent and Vuze, and it successfully does report the downloading torrents as ’seeding’ on the tracker. Because of the randomness, actual stats varied.
Will it get you banned? We’re really not sure, but it’s not worth the risk.
Should you use Ratio Faker? Not a chance. Do it the honest way, like everyone else - BitTorrent is for sharing, not cheating. If you’re looking to become a seedwhore, go out and get a seedbox.

Anyways if your planning on even spoofing, be prepared to get banned.

i manage a private site and we do check for cheats as its a very small community its relativly easy to spot as 90% of the files on my site are only grabbed by 30/40 peers who all seed to the rules we may be small but we have a good dedicated team of staff who actually do there jobs and no i do not make anymoney what so ever i manage the site on my spare time like a lot of staff do there volunteers!
the owner pays the site bills out of there own pocket and teh donations we do get go towards the seedboxes a lot of private sites barly make enough in donations to cover the bills you will be surprised at how little they do get.
and people using cheats and those 2 who cheat at sct i hope to god you get added to the multi private site global ban when you get caught and you will because your all too cheap to share what you get

Look, the reality is that most ISPs allow much slower upload than download. Up is expressed in Mbps and download is in Kbps because that’s the fact. So it is impossible to get decent ratios unless for every minute downloading you sit and wait for 100 minutes for the upload to get even with the download before you can start another torrent. So for a ratio of 1:1, no matter what your upload speed is, it is in fact the same as your download because it won’t just take the short time to download, but also the long time to upload before you can move on to another torrent. Otherwise your ration will drop. Its’ ridiculous that people can’t do this simple math and see that it is not a matter of being a good member, a decent ratio is actually impossible for anyone but those connected directly to the backbone and not through an ISP. So regular people have to cheat because they can not possibly maintain a good ratio otherwise. So do the math and stop acting so superior, you ratio nuts!

I am on a very well known site and I’ve uploaded 250gb of data. Of this 243GB is MY DATA. That means in 18 months on one of the worlds best known sites I could only upload 7GB. This despite that every single torrent I DL I still have an my computer runs 24/7 a week. Why does this happen? Seedboxes. I can see someone start to leech from me and I look at uTorrent and it says 2% complete. In ten minutes it’s at 90%. It shows two complete seeds. Well it seems the other seed has a seedbox. So I have lose. OK fine, I accept this, but the point is, I’ve seen people on this site with a TB of uploads and 5 or 6 gb of DOWNLOADS. This should also be acceptable. A good torrent site, everyone should be giving and taking as much. Every ratio should be as close to 1:1 to create the optimal speed and distribution. Sites owners never realize having too much UPLOAD is also a bad thing.

Actually its for people to decide … I now own a seedbox but i dont always …being a student in a country like india it really means a lot to put 1200bucks for seedbox and 700bucks for a 384kbps connection
monthly and i mean bits ….. and I do use these cheats only when i
dont have a box but i do let the torrent remain active at least for
2-3weeks on my PC… So I use this only to maintain the ratio with a
weak connection amongst the dozens of 100mbits and 1Gbits boxes ..
SO MOST MIGHT HAVE THE MENTALITY not to share but few have the
mentality to share but the high rates of internet really cost a lot
even if he wants to share…..
