If you’re an invite trader, you may find yourself on the business end of the banhammer on popular torrent forums and private trackers alike. Well known for being an invite trading forum - which doesn’t bode well with private trackers - Swedish-based torrentinvites.se staff and members now have a lot more to worry about with the recent alliance between certain torrent discussion boards and popular trackers - in a bold crackdown bid to oust traders from the scene.
Word on the bit-street is, a group of staunch “anti traders” have begun to ban members of torrentinvites.se on certain high-profile trackers, as well as on various torrent forums. We can’t tell you how the IPs were leaked, but TorrentInvites.se staff have already been banned from select forums, in addition to a well-known high level scene tracker, which is also expediting the process of having TI.se staff & traders globally banned from other trackers. Still think that trackers aren’t connected to each other? Think again - many are.
Here’s a warning message left on TI.se, in regards to trading:
Even Swedish trackers are getting in on the action; including SweDVDR, Softmupparna and PirateTorrents.se, which have begun to ban just about anyone connected with TI.se. There’s even talk of another high-profile Swedish tracker getting into the fray (who wishes to remain unidentified), by cutting out all traders.
Private trackers are used as currency
One negative connotation associated with trading can easily be summed up by the general consensus that it is, indeed, a form of currency. And since trackers are usually non-profit for the purpose of free information, invitations to them are not to be sold (aka. traded) in any way, shape or form.
Having said that, many trackers turn a blind eye to their invites being so freely swapped and handed out, as it’s a form of publicity that generates new members - new members who may eventually donate to the tracker, or become upstanding denizens. Other trackers, such as What.cd, x264.me & StC have aggressively tried to keep their invites out of such torrent forums - regardless of trade or giveaway.
Invite/account trading is wrong - period. We’ll update this post as it breaks.

If a bad member gets into TPS, we do our best to get them out fast! We participate in the global ban system also. So if you was to inform the TPS staff with proof of loosing your account from a trader, let us know. We will contact the tracker to confirm everything and take actions! We also would have contacted the tracker on your behalf and try to help get your account back! We are tracker users also, and we don’t like any good people to loose there trackers!

At TPS, we never, EVER endorse any kind of trading, everything that we do is under the constant eye of the trackers involved, with their blessings, and also, with the members at TPS respecting their trackers as well. We also respect trackers that do not want sharing of invites in public, like what’cd and the such.
Forums that offer trades are, in essence, just giving out someones house keys because someone else can offer them something that they want. Hopefully, this will scare people enough to stop trading, as they are dead serious with this no trading stuff. You trade, you will be banned, not just at the tracker that you are with, but at all others that you have anything to do with. Think about how many invite trees you have think about how many friends you have… gonna lose em all… And youre gonna deserve every single thing.

C’mon, the owner and 2 admins of TPS were former traders. Actually, they met in a trader community forum. There are some cases where a trader is just someone who doesn’t have any friend with invites. I have seen people who were forgiven by staff in some old trackers because they provided enough info to proof that they are not compulsive traders, invite sellers, or something like that.
You can’t tar them all with the same brush!
I have noticed that all these new trackers are not only anti-trading but also anti-traders and condemn people for good, even if they only traded once in their lives. I think they behave like that because they haven’t been enough time on the private tracker scene to understand the differences.
Trading wasn’t frowned upon by trackers at all in 2005 for instance.

Anti-traders are usually lucky kids who met a lot of other kids with invites in short time or even started a tracker with them. All trackers that have been created from 2007 so far were made by anti-traders or at least brought some anti-traders to their staff. Most of them started torrenting the same year they created the tracker and that’s why they don’t know anything about the possible motives that lead someone to trade, they simply demonize all traders because they don’t understand them.
Times could have changed, but still there are lots of people who don’t have friends with invites. The problem arises when a member trades against the wishes and rules of a tracker. You need to remember these people take a great deal of time in setting up and running a tracker. They put up their own money, and they have the right to create their own set their own rules. This is where there is no room for argument. Does a tracker like Swedvdr that only wants Swedish members and bans members that aren’t found to be labeled as anti-?…or trackers that bans Israel ips anti-semitic of course not…its their own set of rules and they can do whatever they feel will best benefit their members and tracker. End of the day, no matter how much whinging is done in here, you need to remember this. TPS has an amazing understanding with many trackers including higher level trackers who trust TPS and its members with their invites. Everything that TPS and its members do is in order to retain the respect of these trackers.
