The upside to scene/P2P blog-style release sites is that you usually won’t have to register in order to view the links. By their very nature, they’re more enticing to look at than browsing through threads on a generic vbulletin forum. However, the downside to release blogs is that everything is mixed together (movies, apps, games are added on-the-fly) and you’ll need to conduct specific searches or use the site’s categories to narrow things down. But if speed (pretime) is a major factor when looking for DDL/RapidShare links, good release blogs will usually beat out most forums, and dead links will often be edited or replaced with new live links in the comments.
Direct Download Links (DDL) Indexing Sites
When looking for sites to find DDLs, there’s a whole other side to the scene than most people may realize. A symbiotic relationship exists between DDL indexing sites and release blogs. Blogs and forums churn out the releases, and DDL index sites (PhazeDDL.com and katz.cd being the most popular) pick up the content. There are even sites that blogs & users can submit their new links to, where their content will be instantly submitted to literally hundreds of these DDL indexers. ddlsubmitter.com, fly.6te.net, mechosubmitter.com and autoddlsubmitter.com are just 4 such sites.
We’re not going to focus on these DDL index sites, since most of them borderline on complete irrelevancy - you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all - and they don’t even come up with their own content; they simply index. Besides that, we just provided you with hundreds of DDL sites in the above external links. Go nuts! Release blogs & other warez sites - on the other hand - are where the original releases come from, which is where we’ll direct our attention.

It would take a colossal undertaking to come up with an exhaustive compilation of blogs that provide links to warez. Simply put, it cannot be done. We don’t claim to have “every” site listed (not even close), although we did our best to include diversity in the list. Please check this “4ddl.com” for me. I mean who’s site it is(not the individual but the country or ethnicity). I regularly check this site but the problem is I can access only their archives which are 2-3 months back.

A subject that I’ve not (yet) seen mentioned on this site is the concept of link-protector sites. They don’t host any actual files but act as “middleman” click-thru sites that allow you to link to content on file hosting sites without revealing the file’s actual URL address — and since the actual Rapidshare or Megaupload address remains hidden, it can’t be reported and taken down.
It should be noted that these link-protection sites DO NOT respond to complaints of copyright infringement, so it’s safe to freely post these links in public places without fear of the files being taken down

Bullshit, these are all scams. There shouldn’t be a “selling” of P2P software - this means it’s proprietary (and definitely not “open source”). While some P2P software (such as Limewire Pro) which I don’t necessarily disagree with, but when unsuspecting people visit those lame scam sites such as above, they have no idea that P2P isn’t this way, and shouldn’t be. These sites solely prey on people that don’t know any better, and provide links to P2P software that can be freely found. They do NOT assist in finding content that can’t be found on any freely available P2P program or network, including BitTorrent.
OK - as you said “they sell a P2P software” - could you please elaborate on which software this is? Is there some unknown pay-only P2P software that I don’t know about? If so, would you please provide me a ‘demo’ of it, or I’ll even pay you directly for it, since I’m so interested in this elite P2P software that requires monetary requirement to use. Sounds great!! What am I missing out on?? o_O
