Awesome-HD: The Latest Gazelle Tracker
May 23, 09 by sharky 7,264 viewsEuReKA, a once-popular internal encoder for Bit-HDTV, has now migrated Awesome-HD over to become the first HD-only Gazelle tracker - and it looks better than ever! If you were a former member of the old Awesome-HD, you’ll want to check your email account for an invite, as it expires after just 3 days. Existing tracker members were invited to the new digs (about 6,000 original former members were notified via email), and all will receive 50 GB upload credit and 3 invites to compensate for lost ratio on old accounts.
Awesome-HD is a high-def site for properly-encoded HD releases, with EuReKA as the main internal encoder. Torrents from other popular internal groups such as DON, CtrlHD, BTT, ESiR, Z@X and HiDt can also be found (although these are not internal groups from A-HD). Content focuses on 1080p and 720p rips. Besides the attractive new look, Awesome-HD has added some very interesting options to makes things much easier:

- • A ticket system, to report problems you’re having with the site/tracker.
- • A report system, to report violations of the rules.
- • A bookmark system, to save torrents you are interested in.
- • A notification system, to make sure you get notified when something gets uploaded you are interested in.

they should rename the site to awesomelyshit-hd. i find it ironic that the majority of members there will still download Eureka encodes even thought DON/ESiR/CtrlHD are FAR superior. I mean, who makes an encode of a film that’s BIGGER than the source?! Eureka are a joke when it comes to the world of HD encodes.

I completely agree. I am a member at Awesome-HD (had been a member of the previous site too) and EuReKA’s encodes are OUTSTANDING. 5 and 6 wouldn’t know a good encode if it was giving them a lap dance… Not entirely sure how it would do that, but that is irrelevant.

You incorrectly posted recently about the relaunch of our tracker currently the only internal release group of awesome-hd is EuReKA. The other groups that you listed in that list are all internal release groups of HDBits not Awesome-HD. Please would you post a correction as we are not in the business of claiming the credit for releases of groups who are not internal to us. Please post this statement along with your retraction. We do not mean to offend any of the groups involved.

Article has been amended. It was never meant to suggest that all releases found at A-HD were specifically (exclusively) internal to A-HD only. Most people probably already knew this, however.

I think it’s awesome that awesome-hd is new so i get a invite to from awesome-hd….. because i had an account….so i make a new account then i must get a confirm mail in my e-mail box…..but i never get my confirm mail so now i lost my account i think…….and thats not very AWESOME…….
