Looking for a
fresh torrent forum serving up invites? PTInvites.com is a lesser-known private tracker invite forum that’s
managed to keep a low profile. Starting up as early as last August,
PTI began very privately but only this year has taken strides to
increase the membership - which now stands at 738 - not bad for a
torrent forum that no one’s even heard about. Registration is currently
open.
There’s an interesting history to PTI - it originally began as a
Demonoid-invites forum (called invitestodemonoid.com, then named
getdemonoid.com). ”Link” - a co-admin at PTI and owner of The
Ninja’s Hideout, gave us some history…
I originally knew Pyro (the owner/admin)
from a site that gave away Demonoid invitations. I was co-admin there
and he was a mod. The owner was a real asshat and always harassed the
members and mods. After a while, it became enough. The mods all quit
(those that weren’t “sacked” in the owner’s fits). He also came onto
my forum and harassed one of my members that was a mod on his
previously. Before doing that, he had de-admined my account. What he
forgot was that a simple change in the MySQL database (which I had
access to) could make me admin again. So I sent out a mass email
explaining all of what he’s been doing to various members and what
not. Needless to say, his community died and he gave up on the site. I
haven’t heard from him since. After that whole fiasco, Pyro and the
other previous staff members set this site up…”

The Rules, and Accessing the Forums:
While registration to PTI is open, new members are required to make an
introductory post in order to be granted access
to other forums. Here’s what PTI is looking for in an intro post; just
answer these questions to the best of your knowledge:
- — Tell us a bit about yourself.
- — Why do you want to be a part of ptinvites.com, and what can you
contribute?
- — What private trackers are you a part of? What private trackers would
you want to be a part of someday?
- — How did you find us?
- (Optional…)
- — What’s your favorite torrent tracker?
- — What do you use torrents for (e.g. movies, music, etc.)
- — [Post ratio proof/s]
Forum Access & User Classes — Once a new member makes an intro
post they are then they still only have limited access to the forums.
Once the intro post has been approved (+1 Thanks), more forums open up.
After five posts the user is promoted from Lurker to Semi Poster -
then they have access to the giveaways. Once a user reaches the JR
Member group (at 15 posts) they have full access to the site including
invite requests. If a user donates they get immediate access to the
entire site and also are asked from a list of invites on hand which they
would like.

Oh yes! Another invite site that wont respect the wishes of trackers that dont want their invites to be offered publicly. Note the forum section that says “Give anyone invites to anywhere”.

@BILLY CHU: This isn’t a thread for TPS. I don’t have anything against them. However, if you have something to comment on in this entry, it should be about the featured site, not another.
@SELLING?: I really wouldn’t say they’re selling. I mostly help out with the internals and don’t manage or receive any of the money, but the money that is received goes for paying the site’s costs. They are not trying to make money from people donating for invites. From my view, they are offering an expedited invite, rather than having to post and wait.
I hope this helps to all of you. It’s not my site; I just help out, so if you have a direct complaint, file it with Pyro, not me.

@ el torro: Nothing in life is free. Hosting cost, and there are a lot of other things to consider. You just can’t come and say that we’re taking money when you haven’t even signed up. Also what other torrent invite community have you seen that doesn’t accept donations and give you invites in any kind of way. A VIP section where “all the best invites are given also counts.” Sorry if i meant to single out another site. So please don’t hate my forum when you haven’t even signed up.

I have in the past and am currently working with the former owner of getdemonoid. Link did you ever stop to think that maybe you were the problem? I have never been pushed around or harrassed by him. Maybe it was just people like you and others on that site that drove him to act the way he did. Yeah, Daz, “preety” fun watching the site and watching Daz struggle with a database restore from SMF - You don’t know “nuffing”.
His response to the email I sent out describing where the money went:

when we were hosted free of charge by FreeForums.org. I then went to
advanced hosting and me and Simon (admin of stampoutbullying.co.uk) agreed
that this no longer had to be the case. The e-mail has put a really bad

I want to let you know that I do spend the donations for myself and for the
site, I’m sure you’ll all understand that I do deserve these donations

Yes, he did give some occasional donations to me for helping, but I wouldn’t say paying. As for also taking advantage, heh, I wasn’t the one sending out letters saying the site would shut down if people didn’t pay up, nor did I tell him to. And I’m glad you gained enough experience to run a forum then clear out all the users and posts because you can’t restore a simple database backup.
