PtN Invite Application Open Again For Two Days Only

It’s that time again for PtN to recruit new members! After some recent downtime, PtN has returned true to form. A recent message at PtN suggests the external invite application will run for roughly 48 more hours before closing up for an undetermined amount of time. Now’s your chance to get into this great community movie tracker.
PtN has always been a no-ratio tracker, definitely one of its many selling points. The user statistics are worked out as total traffic (up and down are counted as one, which come to play in the User Classes). Members receive ‘gold’ (site currency) for seeding, which encourages longer torrent life and great DL speeds.

Its one of those, “if you don’t know the url then they don’t want you” things.
I didn’t like the answer about non-p2p communities, they can to easily be traced to people irl in some cases.

Nice, I got in, wasn’t so hard. Also the URL, if you really want to get in you’ll get your hands on that url somehow and if you can’t you probably don’t want to get in enough.

if you want to know the url, i would suggest either some googling, some thinking, or get onto any decent tracker’s IRC and ask until someone responds

People I know deserted this tracker because of the lack of users and the limited content lol IMO this kind of application won’t help them to get many good members..

This tracker is not very good, everything is in packs and the speeds are not great. You can usually go to Zamunda and download the same films alot faster

99% of all trackers have the same content..but have ya ever heard of security and good communities…if ur opinion thinks its shit than so be it..but ive been there a long time and its one of my favorites….PtN…FTW

PtN is pretty cool from the short time I’ve been on it. It has great video content that’s hard to find anywhere else. Even some stuff PTP doesn’t have.

Anyone who thinks the content is the same as anywhere else is an idiot. In fact we have a lot of stuff exclusively ripped and put onto ptn that cannot be found anywhere else, for example Lord of the rings special edition in DVD9. PTN is currently far from a 0day tracker, in fact they are great at uploading random stuff that people request, thanks to the newly reformed request section. If you cant be arsed to fill out the application form which really doesnt take much time, then frankly its your loss, but remember next time you are looking for a film in a speicla format or just a fiilm or documentary that is pretty fucking rare, ptn may provide it and if it isnt currently on the site, i will count on the fact that your request will be filled over there.

Yeah, I’m with the other commenters here. No website is worth answering all of the questions they ask. You are seriously boning your privacy by giving out all of this stuff, and in return you get not much more than any other private site.
No offense to anyone on the site or it’s admins, but I think you’re going too far.

I honestly don’t see why anyone would want the site either. Since the userbase is so small torrents have less activity, and therefore less speeds, especially on less mainstream torrents, and any other larger sites such as PTP and TC easily have far more movies than this site could ever dream of. And community? Honestly? Who really goes on to a tracker forum and talks about random crap threads such as “Rate that ass” all day long?
Even moreso, the rarity of this tracker makes it even more of a haven for collectors. Not worth the time.

To the haters : every site has slow speeds, most of the new stuff on ptn has great speeds. Its not TL or Rev, it doesnt try to be.
Was is it? A small ratio less tracker. The staff is fun to chat with on irc. They have a good sense of community and the site design/code is top notch and very pleasing.
if you dont want to give out info on the app…dont fucking do it. Whats the worst that can happen? They say no. I didnt fill it out 100% some weeks ago when I got in. silly kids.
Its a good site. It depends on what you want in a site. Take it or leave it

the only, and i do mean ONLY benefit of high level sites is WHEN that file is available
every site is a clone, with very few sites being different
the only sites worth having at the elite level are some specialty trackers.
