A lot has changed at Etiv since they first hit the scene:
• The site is fully secure, and completely SSL forced (https) with a verified SSL certificate, so none of that “add exception” or “unknown trusted site” crap.
• Login is through a system similar to “cPanel”. You’ll get it, we hope.
• Employs their own IRC server, with main channels only available to Etiv members, as well as it being SSL only.

Velocityy was never staff at Etiv and never will be. He was once a member known as iNSPiR3D but we didn’t know until we got word from an anonymous source and he later confirmed it. iNSPiR3D was banned from Etiv for invite selling. After he was banned at most invite forums he decided to create his own.

I’d like to apologize to the users that are getting “Ger out,” and are using a 123. ip. You can blame an consistent cheater for that. I’ve modified the rules accordingly to try and lift that, and still ban the one guy that is registering 15+ accounts.

We arent going “l33t”. We are going secure. The safety of our members is our top priority and you just cant have a safe forum if people keep joining during open signups. Staff have been working extremely hard to find the traders/cheats/scammers and we have banned quite a few. When you stay open signup or you give everyone invites, more traders and scammers get in

That’s good to hear and a good move. As long as there’s a way to get into the site and you have some kind of monitoring system for new members that’s ok. I thought you were closed completely which would just result in forum activity dropping with time.
