After receiving countless requests for an updated version of our Top 50 Most Requested Private Tracker Invites article, we’ve finally gotten around to crunching the numbers once again. In comparison to last December’s statistics, the results are astonishingly quite different this time around. There are dozens of new popular trackers, defunct trackers, IRC applications, new torrent forums & more experienced private torrenters than ever before; collectively, all of these factors (and more) account for the difference in request popularity. Just like last year, it should be no surprise as to who holds the No.1 spot.
To compile the data we visited select torrent forums and counted (really!) each and every tracker request thread that was posted (in both regular and restricted/VIP areas where applicable, as well as ‘requests filled’). Note: “Recruitment” threads were not counted. Our stats went back as far as January ‘09 in some cases (but this was rare). Sites that the data was collected from included:
FSF made a *best effort
- here to provide data as accurate as humanly possible, with no bias towards one forum or another. We simply counted requests (and filled ones) as best as we could do.
#1 - FtNPrevious Rank: #1
Two years in a row, reigning champion FtN is still the most asked-for invitation in private BitTorrent; quite possibly of all-time. Our collected stats suggest that requests for FtN outnumber queries for any other tracker by nearly a 2:1 margin. Membership here is so coveted that members (even staff) of respected torrent forums will spend months, even years, just to climb the ranks to become eligible (trustable) for an invite from their peers, and even this doesn’t always prove successful. Don’t even think about creating your own new hip ‘torrent forum’ in the hopes of landing someone with a casual FtN invite to spare - it just won’t happen.
Finding an invite to FtN: Very difficult; although FtN doesn’t ban giveaways / requests on forums, only the truly elite get in. Invites are rare, so members are extremely choosy on whom they decide to give them out to.
#2 - ScTPrevious Rank: #2
ScT retains its #2 spot for most requested private tracker invitation. This tried-and-true scene tracker continues to be a leader for not only amazing pretimes, but also for exclusive ‘packs’ and content not found elsewhere; not to mention a great community. But unlike FtN, you’ll be able to buy your way in if you know the right people. However, most ScT members are frugal with invites (since it costs real money to get them), so it’s uncommon to see **ScT invitegiveaway
** offers, unless they’re looking for something else in return. And that something else would probably be #1, which you can’t get.
Finding an invite to ScT: Difficult; but if you’re able to open your heart (and your wallet), an ScT invite may just eventually fall into your lap. Being a stellar member of a torrent forum might get you in pro bono (but remember: someone paid to get that invite on the account, so it’s a privilege to be invited). Thus; a cold-hard cash ‘offer’ in a PM will always trump those months of waiting for someone to finally invite you, if they even do. Money doesn’t grow on trees, but it can surely bypass access to ScT and other trackers. We’re coming full-circle here, since topsite axx ain’t free: we can hardly blame any scene tracker that asks for donations or charges $ for invites. This access comes at a hefty price, which doesn’t even count seedboxes that host new torrents, or special IRCd services to connect it all.
#3 - GFTPrevious Rank: #19
There are movers-n-shakers, and then there’s GFT. This awesome 0day tracker has made the biggest climb in our list to the #3 position for most-often requested invitation. Why? Stellar pre-times, 14,000+ torrents, a great request system, a ratioless tracker, scene content that is not easy to find at other trackers (as well as non-scene releases) - all this combined makes GFT not only a great tracker, but highly requested as well.
Finding an invite to GFT: Moderately difficult; at last check, GFT’s IRC invite channel wasn’t accepting applications (but this could change). FYI, new recruitment is going on here & here - if you’re able to access the links. It should be noted that Romanian IPs are banned, but exceptions to this are possible on a case-by-case basis.
#4 TranceTrafficPrevious Rank: #8
The above Top 3 most-requested invitations consist of scene/0day trackers. Music tracker TranceTraffic lands in at position #4, and now claims the top spot among music sites in this list for 2009. Online for 5 years and counting, requests for TT continue to flood in, year after year. With 80,000+ total torrents, exclusive packs, an army of uploaders, and a tiny membership limit of just 8,000 that hasn’t changed in years - TT remains the premier site for EDM music (not just trance/techno).
Finding an invite to TT: Very difficult; since invites are only given out to VIPs (which also happen to be donators), and even then VIPs must request invitations. $50 or more should get you at least one invite (or if you subscribe to a monthly recurring $10 donation through PayPal) - all of this translates to why you’ll never see TT giveaways - ever. You can’t donate to get in, but if you can find someone willing to ’sell’ an invite to you, then you’re golden. Let’s not get naive, folks - this happens.
From this entire list, we’d suggest that only FtN is harder to get into - which is exactly why TT is requested so frequently.
#5 - BlackCats-GamesPrevious Rank: #9
No one can dispute that Blackcats-Games has long been credited as the number one games tracker. Whether it be console games (XBOX360, Wii, PlayStation), portables (PSP, DS) or PC games (full ISOs, updates, ROMs & smaller releases) - you’ll find it all at BCG. While you won’t find many giveaways to BCG since the site uses a special referral code system, and once a new code is generated it expires after just one hour.
Finding an invite to BCG: Moderately difficult; since invites are only handed out to qualifying members who’ve been with the tracker for 6 months or longer. Often, the inviter will request the invitee to ‘meet’ for an online chat (IM, MSN etc) or even IRC, since invite codes only last one hour. Thus, GAs are not usually carried out directly through PMs on torrent forums.
#6 - BitMe.orgPrevious Rank: #4
Similar to last year, BitMe once again surprised us with huge request numbers, and claims the #6 spot in 2009. Unanimously considered to be the best eLearning tracker on the ‘net, BitMe lists 13,000+ active torrents.
Finding an invite to BitMe: Relatively easy; since 3 invites are awarded each month to Power Users and up. The tracker is seldom near their 30,000-user capacity limit (currently has less than 20K) - however, members are quite selective for whom they invite for two reasons: 1.) Seeding & keeping a good ratio is somewhat difficult; 2.) Inviters are responsible for their invitees. For these reasons, invite giveaways are rarely done on torrent forums (or anywhere else), and BitMe invites don’t even come close to making the Top 25 list for GAs. Making a request (and having it fulfilled) is your best chance, and it’s really not that hard to get into.
#7 - SCCPrevious Rank: #16
SCC continues to be a great source for 0day content (pretimes here are not just respectable; but coveted by other 0day/0sec scene trackers). Even if you don’t care about who beat who on the trace, there are still plenty of reasons to be a member of SCC: There’s more than 30,000 freeleech torrents combined throughout both MP3/0Day & Archives sections, not to mention the 10,000 torrents on the main browse page. Combine it all, and SCC continues to be a winner.
Finding an invite to SCC: Difficult, apparently. We can’t confirm or deny if invites are given out automatically to qualifying user classes - and their FAQ doesn’t shed any light on this either. We do know however, that donators receive 1 invite for €10, 2 for €20, etc. Having said that, there are special recruitments going on here (which won’t cost you a dime) if you’re PU at What.CD. Many other trackers offer SCC invites directly in their forums, as long as you qualify. Our tip: You’ll be better off to apply through a private tracker forum thread, as opposed to requesting an invite on a torrent forum.
#8 - Waffles.fmPrevious Rank: #5
Sliding down 3 spots, Waffles invitations still get requested more often than any other general music tracker. Waffles invite giveaways are more common lately (which translates to fewer requests) since they’ve kept the ‘open invites’ available nearly continuously during the past few months. Invites used to be rarer (and harder to offer), since the status on availability at that time was subject to change quite quickly. One minute they were available; the next - gone. This hasn’t been the case lately.
Finding an invite to Waffles: Getting easier: Unlike What.CD, there’s no IRC interview or publicly-available IRC channels. However, your best bet is through invite giveaways or requests, or through other trackers’ forums that offer permanent recruitment - such as ScT, SCC, Goem, PtN, HDBits, TheBox & U-G - to name just a few.
#9 - TorrentLeechPrevious Rank: #3
TorrentLeech requests have dropped recently, but this isn’t due to the tracker becoming less popular. On the contrary; TL has more members than ever before (177,937 at last check) and activity is at an all-time high. So then, why are non-members requesting invites less frequently? Easy: TL had opened public registration through IRC at least three times over the year. Anyone paying attention to blogs would’ve been able to get in.
Finding an invite to TorrentLeech: Still moderately tough, although there’s various recruitment happening at both trackers and forums. While invites given out to qualified TL members remains the status quo (not often), there are more members; which translates to more invites floating around. TL requests/GAs aren’t as competitive as they once were, which also explains a drop in invite requests.
#10 - BitMeTV.orgPrevious Rank: #15
Rising 5 spots is BitMeTV, which was actually tied with TL for the most-requested invitation on torrent forums. BMTV - the king of TV trackers - currently lists over 16,000 active torrents and 21,072 members (out of a max 25K) so the site is never full.
Finding an invite to BitMeTV: Getting easier as of late; however the numbers for invite requests tend to exceed direct giveaways (see reasons in BitMe.org above), so there aren’t too many people offering BMTV GAs in regular forum zones. Getting in isn’t unusually difficult; staying there is.
#11 - Pedro’sPrevious Rank: #18
Pedro’s BTMusic is a specialized lossless/FLAC tracker that marks the #3 spot for music trackers in this list, right behind TT and Waffles. With 30,000 torrents and an insane amount of unique content uploaded daily, there’s little wonder to why Pedro’s has climbed up the ranks to become one of the most requested tracker invites.
Finding an invite to Pedro’s: Very difficult; most eligible inviters refrain from offering invitations openly in regular giveaway venues, aside from VIP areas. You may even be asked (by your inviter) to join an IRC channel or connect ‘live’ to an IM app in order to finalize the invite. Having said that, you’ll have a good chance through other trackers like What.CD, Waffles and ScT.
#12 - iPlay.roPrevious Rank: #11
Virtually unchanged in the list is iPlay.ro, which still generates a ton of invite requests. iPlay is a premier 0day/scene tracker which hands-down remains the best Romanian tracker on the ‘net - and also the most requested.
Finding an invite to iPlay: Difficult; but not impossible. But you’ll need some BT experience to get into this one. Most inviters will likely be asking for direct profile links, seedbox info, stats on other trackers and speedtests - and other proofs. Recruitment through torrent forums and/or trackers is somewhat rare, which is why invite requests to iPlay.ro remains a constant.
#13 - HDBits.orgPrevious Rank: #6
It’s simply amazing that HDBits isn’t further down the list, but stats don’t lie - people are still avidly requesting invitations. While sliding down to position #13 from #6 - there’s still an impressive amount of new invite requests, despite the fact they’ve cut off invites to none other than staff for nearly a full year now. Traders, sellers & scammers are the reason here - HDBits is closed, folks. As it stands, you have a better chance at getting into FtN.
Finding an invite to HDBits: Almost non-existent; but not entirely impossible - just find a staffer and you might be good to go. Quite possibly, HDBits is the most difficult tracker to get into in 2009 - with runner-ups being FSC, iTS, FTW*, Exig0 and U*-T.
#14 - PtNPrevious Rank: #13
PtN is another tracker that hasn’t changed much in the rankings - still quite a popular request in 2009. Direct PtN giveaways are rarely seen nowadays, even inviters are using a preset interview questionaire that is also the same one used when PtN’s /comeandplay.php link comes online intermittently.
Finding an invite to PtN: In short, aspiring new members need to apply in order to be accepted - however there are numerous CRs/recruiters at various torrent forums and popular private trackers alike. Getting into PtN isn’t nearly as difficult as it once was.
#15 - MusicVidsPrevious Rank: #15
If there’s a theme to be found in this article about tracker requests, it’s that many of the best trackers in their specific genre are also the most requested. Which really comes as no surprise. For example, 0Day = SCC/ScT/FtN; Games = BCG; HD = HDBits.org; Music = Waffles/Pedro’s; TV = BMTV. MusicVids is no exception - fans of music videos already know that the best tracker on the planet is MV.
Finding an invite to MusicVids: Difficult; giveaways are rare. Aside from manually requesting an invite, there’s active recruitment here at What.CD, as well as through Waffles, PtN, HDBits and a handful of others.
#16 - RevolutionTTPrevious Rank: #14
Despite having open signups for an extended period of time on two separate occasions in 2009, RevolutionTT continues to be a sought-after invitation. Unless you’ve been living in a cave for the past 11 months, there’s really no valid reason for not being able to get into RevTT. We LOL at readers who request an invitation in a comment, merely days after the story has been thoroughly spammed across blogs & forums. Where were you a week ago?
Finding an invite to RevTT: Fairly easy; direct giveaways are commonplace, without the need to provide insanely stringent requisites. If you find it tough to get into RevTT, well there’s 45 even more difficult trackers listed right here above & below it.
#17 - What.CDPrevious Rank: #7
We figured that What.CD requests would have diminished to less than a trickle, since both giveaways & requests have been globally banned. But not so; What.CD invites are still requested quite frequently - although most of the threads get trashed anyways, not to mention a stern tongue-lashing to the n00bs who ask.
Finding an invite to What.CD: Somewhat easy; there might still remain a few recruiters/CRs on various tracker forums that offer invites to What.CD (without having to take the IRC Interview), but most threads have all but vanished. Either do the interview, or find a true friend to invite you.
#18 - FSCPrevious Rank: #24
Right as rain, invite requests to FSC continue to pour in year after year. Not that they’re fulfilled often, we might add.
Finding an invite to FSC: Extremely difficult would be an understatement.
#19 - NTorrents.netPrevious Rank: unlisted
Ntorrents wasn’t listed in last year’s Top 50, and debuts as #19 for 2009. Some of the renewed interest comes from the popularity of the Wii game console, and the fact that NTorrents is an amazing community for all-things Nintendo-related which includes ~4,000 torrents.
Finding an invite to NTorrents: Try to get in through their IRC invite channel at irc.ntorrents.net/nt-invites.
#20 - IPTorrents.comPrevious Rank: unlisted
IPTorrents is another tracker that wasn’t listed in our Top 50. Requests are more common lately, since torrenters are beginning to realize that they’re highly underrated. This, and the fact that IPT used to have open registration (now is invite only), and even IPT experimented with the idea to remove invites from all members (except VIPs) back in May, 2009 - although this didn’t last long.
Finding an invite to IPT: Easy. IPTorrents remains the #1 tracker for most offered invite giveaways throughout major torrent forums.
#21 - TTI.nuPrevious Rank: #22
Fatal disaster almost struck TTi.nu earlier this year when they were forced to remove illegal torrents (and they even opened signups briefly), but all has returned to normal now.
Finding an invite to TTi: Relatively easy; but more difficult than it once was. While the number of requests remains unchanged, there are fewer giveaways.
#22 - TheDVDClubPrevious Rank: #30
More requests are coming lately in for TDC - a tracker that has DVD (5’s and 9’s) and HD x264 releases for movies and TV shows.
Finding an invite to TDC: Somewhat easy; although there are fewer giveaways. TDC has even opened public signups during the past year - although not often.
#23 - Elektronik.roPrevious Rank: #17
With more than 20K torrents for Breakbeat, Dance, DnB, Electronic, Hardcore, House, Techno & Trance - Elektronik continues to be a hot invite request.
Finding an invite to Elektronik: Quite difficult; some consider Elektronik to be secondary to TranceTraffic. Although we’ve noticed an influx of new giveaways recently.
#24 - ScLPrevious Rank: #20
Recently ScL had run an open registration promo which lasted nearly a week, and saw some 5,000+ new members join the site. Because of this, requests have died down but are still fairly common.
Finding an invite to ScL: Difficult; but it varies greatly throughout the year. Often ScL will hand out multiple invites to all members, and then remove them after a week. During these promos, a heavy amount of giveaway threads will appear around torrent forums - this is the time to apply.
#25 - Bit-HDTVPrevious Rank: #28
The unattainable nature of HDBits.org has only made other HD trackers more popular. Regarded highly as the #2 HD tracker (~17K torrents is one good reason), Bit-HDTV invite requests are surging.
Finding an invite to Bit-HDTV: Moderately easy; there’s always a steady stream of giveaways. Bit-HDTV wasn’t always invite-only and used to offer the occasional open registration, but we’ve yet to see this occur in 2009.
#26 - STMusic.orgPrevious Rank: unlisted
While new music sites tend to be more elite (CE, SqN) and older, established trackers are harder to get into (What.CD, Pedro’s), this leaves some room for good old-fashioned music trackers that offer a robust selection of just about everything. Requests for STMusic are becoming more frequent (although signups are currently open).
Finding an invite to STMusic: Just signup, silly!
#27 - TS-TrackerPrevious Rank: #44
Heralded as the best German tracker on the ‘net, TS-Tracker gets a heavy amount of requests. This scene/0day (and P2P) tracker obviously focuses on special German releases; especially movies, DVDRs and TV episodes/series’.
Finding an invite to TS-Tracker: No inside info available for this one.
#28 - HDChina.orgPrevious Rank: unlisted
HD Trackers are experiencing explosive growth, especially Asian ones. HDChina is just one example out of a few new Chinese HD startups to hit the scene.
Finding an invite to HDChina: We’ve been told that signups are occasionally open from time-to-time, but we’ve not seen it. Very few (if any) GAs for HDChina exist, which is why they’re climbing up the ranks.
#29 - PolishTrackerPrevious Rank: #21
PolishTracker.org is the oldest (and best) Polish private tracker out there. This scene/ 0day / general tracker is considered by many to be the Polish equivalent of ScT.
Finding an invite to PT: Somewhat difficult; although there are always at least a few threads offering PT giveaways if you know where to look.
#30 - TheVault.bzPrevious Rank: #41
TheVault used to be more elite, but they’ve begun to relax on signups which are sometimes open here. TheVault is a unique specialized business-content tracker focused on making money and running businesses. The tracker has a diverse collection of books, videos and guides related to various business related issues and topics like Sales, Economics, Money & Taxes management, Consulting, General Management books, etc.
Finding an invite to TheVault: Moderately easy; and even if you can’t find an invite or sign up directly, there’s always the option to apply through their IRC invite channel - irc.thevault.bz/thevault-invites.
#31 - SceneHD.orgPrevious Rank: #33
SceneHD is another Swedish tracker that went through some growing pains, but has returned to true form. While signups were occasionally open once in a while, this won’t happen again - aspiring users will need to find an invite through a friend, or torrent forum.
Finding an invite to SceneHD: Invite requests are more common than giveaways, although their invite system is indeed active. Make a request; hopefully someone comes through to fill it.
#32 - CartoonChaosPrevious Rank: unlisted
CartoonChaos is billed as the first cartoon/kids tracker, and also has a sister site called Torrent-kids. CC hasn’t been open for registration in a long time, which suggests why requests are steady.
Finding an invite to CartoonChaos: Difficult; since it’s a niche tracker without a lot of members, and signups have been closed indefinitely.
#33 - Karagarga.netPrevious Rank: #38
Karagarga is a very special niche movie (and OST) tracker with 42,000 active torrents. As long as there’s a demand for arthouse, film-noirs and other eclectic films - there will undoubtedly be a demand for KG invites.
Finding an invite to Karagarga: Moderately easy; those who request have a decent shot at getting invited, and there’s always a thread kicking around for direct invites.
#34 - XBox-SkyPrevious Rank: unlisted
Oddly, Xbox-Sky didn’t make the cut last year. This special XBOX games tracker used to be open for signups fairly regularly, but not lately.
Finding an invite to XBox-Sky: Moderately easy; it’s not an in-demand tracker so most inviters won’t trip up would-be users with too many requirements.
#35 - HD-Bits.roPrevious Rank: unlisted
11,300 members can’t be wrong, HD-Bits.ro is a very suitable replacement for HDBits.org. As you probably guessed, it’s a HD tracker for movies & TV releases, which includes a healthy selection of full Blu-Rays and rips.
Finding an invite to HD-Bits: Easy; invite giveaways are common.
#36 - ExigoPrevious Rank: #27
Most torrenters who request an invite to Exigo are setting themselves up for a letdown. Here’s a tracker that is very careful with the invitations - which are given only upon request made by PUs and above, although VIPs may have invites without request (but VIPs are not the same thing as donors).
Finding an invite to Exigo: Very difficult; invite giveaways are never seen, and rarely are requests filled.
#37 - AOMPrevious Rank: #31
There’s no rivalry in all of BitTorrent compared to the rivalry between magic trackers. Party-pooper sites like AOMK (ironic how AOM-Killer is now defunct), NeoMagician and MagicianTorrents have all surfaced, but pale in comparison to the true king of magic, and that’s AOM.
Finding an invite to AOM: Very difficult; magic trackers are elite, dontcha know?!
#38 - MMA-TrackerPrevious Rank: #32
Probably the best tracker for MMA-related torrents, MMA-Tracker.net (also .org) gives out one invite for each 10 GB you upload, up to a maximum of 5 at any one time.
Finding an invite to MMA-Tracker: Somewhat easy; requests are often filled for qualifying members, and there’s always at least a few invite GAs around.
#39 - BitHUmenPrevious Rank: #26
Dubbed the best Hungarian tracker on the planet, BitHUmen serves up both 0day & rare stuff unseen anywhere else. Invites are difficult to find, to say the least - their unique invites system allows members to trade points (10) for one invite, and points are not easy to come by.
Finding an invite to BitHUmen: Very difficult; apparently. We can’t even find the URL!
#40 - PassThePopcornPrevious Rank: unlisted
PassThePopcorn only started up in 2008, which explains why they weren’t previously listed. Indexing 12,500 active torrents (both movies & trailers), PtP is occasionally open for signups intermittently, but not all that recently.
Finding an invite to PtP: Easy; invites are everywhere, surely someone will fill your request.
#41 - iTSPrevious Rank: #10
Where did all the requests go for iTS? This one was ranked #10 in last year’s list - we can only surmise that everyone who already wanted in, found a way to get in. We seriously doubt that, but hopefully this is a positive omen that small community trackers aren’t being collected to the extent they once were.
Finding an invite to iTS: Very difficult; the only recruitment we could find was from here.
#42 - DeepBassNinePrevious Rank: unlisted
DeepBassNine is an electronic underground music tracker for Drum&Bass, Dubstep, Jungle, Breakbeat, Techno and a few other genres. Db9 recently switched over to Gazelle, and lists more than 20,000 torrents.
Finding an invite to Db9: Somewhat difficult; although there’s the usual fare of invite GAs to be found.
#43 - DesiTorrents.comPrevious Rank: #34
DesiTorrents continues to generate quite a few requests, since normally it costs $10 (or $15) to join through their affiliate site at DTInvites.com. This top-notch Desi tracker currently lists 11,600 torrents.
Finding an invite to DesiTorrents: Difficult; the status of their internal invite system is not known: ”Select members of DT will be given invites randomly within DT itself.”
#44 - SceneSound.orgPrevious Rank: unlisted
Considered to be the new SoftMP3, SceneSound has been online less than 5 months but already lists 18,000 torrents. This scene-music tracker was once open for registration (for a week, maybe two) when they first launched, but not since.
Finding an invite to SceneSound: Somewhat difficult; there’s no mention of how often (or when) invites are awarded to qualified members. Their FAQ is blank on this.
#45 - FTWRPrevious Rank: #24
Dropping way down is FTWR, which resided at the #24 spot last year. We’re assuming that most people have given up requesting this one through public/private forums, as this generally isn’t the correct approach.
Finding an invite to FTWR: No idea. ”They’re invites are very hard to come by, and they are not manual. To invite someone you have to be a high level user and submit an application for the invitee. For instance, if I wanted to invite Lucky, I would have to personally vouch for him and provide links to his profile on other ‘elite’ sites.”
#46 - TVTorrents.comPrevious Rank: #39
Underrated TVTorrents.com isn’t requested nearly as much as we would have expected - this ratio-free TV tracker currently lists 12,225 active torrents (many of which are full seasons).
Finding an invite to TVT: Somewhat difficult; since their quite stingy with the invites (good members get 3 every 3 months). But TVT is not highly sought-after, so chances are good that someone will fill your request.
#47 - TranceRoute.comPrevious Rank: unlisted
Another really good Trance tracker is TranceRoute (aka Puresound). With well over 12,000 torrents, TR is well-established and has some unique features not seen elsewhere.
Finding an invite to TR: Difficult; (but not as hard as TranceTraffic or Elektronik).
#48 - Torrent-DamagePrevious Rank: unlisted
After that long downtime a year ago and the crossover to Gazelle, Torrent-Damage has turned things around recently - and is beginning to bring back in a good solid base of members. We’re seeing more requests lately.
Finding an invite to T-D: Signups are closed, but look for the “Request an Invite!” link on their login page.
#49 - HD-Torrents.orgPrevious Rank: unlisted
HD-Torrents is an underrated HD tracker that lists 6,600 torrents. Seeding is easy, as there are a ton of peers (leechers) on most torrents. More requests for HD-T are appearing, largely in thanks to HDBits.org - and other HD trackers that are not open for registration.
Finding an invite to HD-T: Signups are now closed, but it may be possible to donate to get in (although we can’t confirm this). Try first to request an invitation or look for a giveaway.
#50 - Filelist.roPrevious Rank: unlisted
Last, and not least, is Filelist.ro - a very popular Romanian (and international) tracker. Seeding is easy; lots of activity and tons of torrents (although we couldn’t find an updated review to provide proper stats).
Finding an invite to Filelist.ro: Either request it, or look for giveaways that are fairly common.
you made a down arrow for scenehd.org even though it it supposed to be up. just wanted to point that out Great job
Very, very nice list. It’s also very well-organized. Keep it up, sharky.
Great update to the previous list
“Don’t even think about creating your own new hip ‘torrent forum’ in the hopes of landing someone with a casual FtN invite to spare - it just won’t happen.”
LOL this situation sounds familiar…
Wait, was it FtN that he was trying to get or BCG? I don’t even remember anymore.
Ah well, great article again sharky, keep it up!
IPT is all i need!
250k+ members (said in the waffles recruitment for it)
almost 28k torrents
You can get an invite to just about any site here: http://www.torrentauction.com

[…] link: The Top 50 Most Requested Tracker Invites of 2009 | THE source for … :electronic, house, […]
Well done, FSF team! The list is very and very different, even top3 has changes Nice to see TR and DB9 in the list, these 2 trackers are really worth it. #17 is a somehow a surprise, but people who knows the stuff surely know the explanation.
Again, thanks for this interesting list, Sharky!
hey mon Says:
cool list, sharky. These types of articles are always an interesting read.
Kinda cool to know how 1337 I am. Though I could be a little 13373l^ if I had #1 or #3.
Great article. Thank f… you!
A good and well written article. It would have been much better if supported by exact number of the people requesting each of the above trackers.
TranceTraffic the #1 site for EDM? Apparently Torrentech doesn’t even rate…
#27 - TS-TrackerPrevious Rank: #44
Finding an invite to TS-Tracker: No inside info available for this one.
Invitations are closed until further information, so there’s no way to get in (same situation as Torrentheaven, the second big German tracker).
I’m glad you added other places like FST. Getting stats from all the popular places is a more accurate representation of what’s most requested. I do want to say that I’ve gotten sick of these torrent-related forums - there’s so many boring, mindless tards.
I hope to see another article next year. cheers
A FTN staff member was giving away invites at TPS for doing crap like singing a song that mentioned his name nine times while wearing a banana on your head…
Yes very elite indeed, its clear they go through an in-depth selection process, setup so only individuals of the highest caliber, representing the pinnacle of the torrent community have a shot at getting in…
Z, that GA was complete ROFLMAO :D I couldn’t stop laughing when a fiend of mine send a link of a girl singing FTN, FTN… I’m still curious about who was there =S arxnobius, meister..?
Why ? Why Why ? Why Why Why ? Do you HAVE to make such lists ? I think your list is the only Reason Majority of people get Anal about getting those Elitest Invites. People even get lured into Unethical Methods to acquire the Top Trackers.
FtN-al , I am not one.
P.S. #7 = Best
P.S. Again - Except I don’t do music , and FtN is not my thing [ Read “Dancing” , “Singing” , and I am a Rangers Fan … ((Very few people will understand what i just said )) ]
I got the rest upto #10 , and they were offered by kindest of members to me , not “requested”.
My Point is , if its yours to get , you will. Don’t go after it , it will come to you [ Wonder where i’ve heard that ]
the only thing SCC is better at is pre-times(meh) & a free-leech category. TL’s content far surpasses that of SCC & TL’s torrents have a longer life span.
SO the torrent arrives faster at SCC, its easier to maintain ratio with huge movie packs, the site is far nicer to look at without annoying ads, but TL is better. MMM that makes perfect sense. As far as longer life span if I want older tv shows I go to somewhere like tvtorrent and for older movies bithdtv has pretty much everything.
I think this list is great simply for the fact that for newbies it shows them some great trackers.
ViPmusic is much better than scenesound. it has more than 43 000 torrents already and has such great category as ‘collections’. forum community is much better, requests are filled better. and the main thing - it’s all english speaking, not swedish)
@Spluge. Who said that because a tracker was higher on the list it was better? This list is based on facts of which is most requested. An interesting read.
I was simply responding to jugs opinion. He even had a cute graphic. Now if u had read the post above yours u would have saw someone complaining about the ranking
yeah, VIPmusic is underrated. great for scene releases
Have 9 out of Top Ten, and I ain’t a gamer, so not interested in Black Cats. My favorite tracker however is still Bithumen! Best regards from beautiful Hungary:
#49 - HD-Torrents.com = #49 - HD-Torrents.ORG
Anyone have an invite for GheyOromisBytes.eu???
…oh ya, nice article, Sharkey.
Nice list and all but…………honestly almost all of the trackers now days resemble each other whether their elite or not. So what if you get a scene release 3 minutes before other sites. Everyone has the same content…but then again if your into the whole elite scene then oh well, whatever floats your boat.
PTP is considering to close all invites. Also, they are banning any giveaways of invites:
“a) The offering on sites for invites will stop NOW.
b) No person should attempt to purchase/trade/convert points for invites that exceeds 10. Anything over ten will be removed.
c) Our last course of action is to remove invites from our site and just go on “interview-only”.”
you forgot CN, NB, U*-* and x264 and more secret trackers….
Some mistakes too for TS Tracker or Bithumen(it’s very easy to find the url…)
Description of each tracker isn’t interesting, no details…
big dog Says:
TL runs shit. FTN is for Bush fans bro
big dog Says:
the President. not pussy
and it’s more interesting to put % of each requests fullfilled
These are the most requested trackers, so I don’t think a tracker like CN that nobody even knows who they are, and whose members are prohibited from mentioning anything about the tracker besides its initials would be very high on the list..
And x264 has a strict no invite forum policy, they send requests to all the forums to not let their invites be traded there, and they actively hunt down and ban those who do get in through this method.
and NB and U*-*? NB is a very good tracker for dvdr movies and more for example, very requested
Yeah, apart from the fact that the MPAA are registered on TorrentLeech and many members of TorrentLeech have recieved copyright infringement notices.
Hardly surprising, considering how popular they are and how often they have signups open. They really should just hand out a lot more invites instead of opening signups through IRC.
Anonymous and that would keep the MPAA out how?
high on life…wait, nevermind it’s marijuana Says:
TL stopped giving invites away do to people selling & trading them. That’s undoubtedly how the other side got in.
And for the record, in my 3+ years at TL, I’ve never once been sent a letter from my ISP.
fuck face Says:
you cant make dat statement now your jinxed. lawsuit for the guy above.
Once sharky posts something about CN , NB … they will start featuring in the 2010 version of this list… Its not about the needs anymore.
P.S. - For Me , SCC > TL [ [bold]My Opinion[/bold] ]
really IPT is really UNDER-RATED tracker.
for people with capped ADSL connections… IPT is GODLIKE thanks to freeleech.
Hail IPT xD
hmmm… it seems that closing invite system wont get some up the list anymore…lol
i m proud that IPT finally made up the list. IPT is awesome…
@anon… i dont think closing ts-tracker invite system… will make people with common sense request it.
GFT is overrated. i was a member there, but rarely found anything worthwhile and i ended up visiting the site so infrequently my account was disabled for inactivity, SCC is a much more worthwhile site, especially the freeleech packs/music/videos/apps. TL is much slated for having open invites, and i’ve used it a lot less since i got in SCC, but it has a good archive of apps that simply aren’t on SCC. i can’t speak for ScT/FTN as i’m not a member and don’t feel the need to be either. IPT has some amazing packs (karaoke anyone?).
i’m glad the days of tracker collecting seem to be diminishing, although uk-t and (another unnamable site) has always been a target for collectors so i’m surprised it didn’t make the list.
and to whoever said that x264 aren’t doing forum giveaways - check the what.cd forum.
Who cares how many people want to join a community? How about saying what kind of content they specialise in and how many torrents. Sharing is about CONTENT, not how many peple like games or trance. For example WhatCD beat Waffles by a long shot in content. If people knew this they’d rather go for WhatCD. I’m in RevolutionTT and there’s nothing there I want I can’t find in public trackers with more seeders. There are many private trackers on this list with a serious content problem so what’s the point? Snobbery?
FTN being at the top of this list is rather funny.
The idea behind this list is good.
But is there a list based on the actual usage/need for the content on sites?
As far as usability. I would use TL or GFT before I used UKT SCC SCT or FTN.
I am on most of the above sites… theres nothing special about the latter 4 I mentioned.
I already got access to IPT and what.cd and TL, would it be worth for me to get invites to any other sites when I don’t care about few mins later with times? TL was a really huge disapointment due to its a bit slower than IPT and got less content and less description.
ROFL.Thats something special,you said there
quote “TL was a really huge disapointment due to its a bit slower than IPT and got less content and less description.”
On what basis are you saying that TL has got less content? and slower??? with about 2:1 ratio of seeders to leechers minimum and good pretimes,I may be blind or I cant get what you are saying.
IPT GOD Says:
well will soon be the tracker of all trackers after beign underrated for so long, torrenters for themselves are get to see how active the site realy is when it comes to speed and seeds ipt is king, thanks for this post even though ipt is realy closer to the number one spot
IPT GOD Says:

The tracker that shall not be named can be named…lol…
Anyone kind enough to share a torrent leech invite? I’ve been looking for one for ages. If anyone is willing then here’s my email: firstname.lastname@example.org
TL with 170k is now only better mininova with high risk of getting busted. More content is caused by hebsub etc shit. SCT for speed, FTN for 1337.

I cant believe AWESOME-HD did not make the top 50 list. Eureka makes the
best high def encodes and they still get no respect.. If you think that Ctrlhd, or Esir
encodes are better, you need to compare both side by side and you will
see a difference! some movies from Eureka can only be found on there site..
no where else..
Awesome-hd has freaking 400 torrents. Why would anyone want to join it.

I believe Torrentech should be on this list…
YourNot Getting MyName Says:
You F***ing idiots need to stop requesting for invites, the staff of every tracker listed here has seen this page, so if your requesting an invite, your just going to get banned from joining and the person who invited you is going to be disabled for giving an invite away when they don’t know you in real life. You are all screwed. Don’t request invites!!! On another note, whoever made the difficulty rankings is a complete moron, I could say your mom was hard to get into, but then again she wasn’t.

Demonoid is not on this list? Hmmmmmm… I thouhgt they were the most requested ones

Finding an invite to PtP: Easy; invites are everywhere, surely someone will fill your request.
yea, This list is Garbage, Were the fuck is CN?? oh yeah whats CN…… You guys are clueless
and you need to get ScL and ScT off this list
i think ipt is one of the fasteer torrent site why?
one reason is that
I can give someone an invitation to any of the above tracker I need them to pray a lot!
Im a member at every major torrent site on the web and have had my TV acct. disabled due to going over the ratio by just a lil bit accidently when paused torrents within the client recontinued to download when the PC restarted while i was sleeping.
I went to their IRC channel and explained the situation and asked if i could have my acct. reenabled. For one hr. i argued with them as they were trying to hustle me for a cash donation!?! WTF since when does a legit torrent site have their mods trying to force their members into giving a donation in order to ‘buy ratio’!?
They are con-artists, ive also heard of stories about the staff/admin of these sites banning for the smallest of reasons just so they can make a profit from the members. Im disgusted! And not only am i warning everyone i know within the torrent community about this, im boycotting them for life! They wont last more than a couple of yrs now due to dishonest staff practices, and they don’t deserve to have the community support.

TS-Tracker Invites are usually closed.
There are one or two Weekends per year at which the invites are open.
But You can only be invited by a trusted User.
All in All its very hard to get in… usually you must know a member personally for years to get a invite. And its hard to survieve without donating.
Offering invites on the net is forbidden. -> your Account will be deleted, and all Users, that you invited… so the most users are very very carefully with invites.
