TorrentLeech Invites Being Handed Out On IRC

If there was a People’s Choice award for best tracker, few would argue that TorrentLeech is at the top of the list. For those last few holdouts who don’t yet possess an account at TorrentLeech, what have you been waiting for? TL is currently offering invites through IRC, but don’t delay; this is said to end in roughly 12 hours.

EDIT: TL Invites through the channel are now closed.

The current message on TorrentLeech’s homepage:

Here’s the questions that are said to be asked in IRC:

  • b) Where did you hear about TorrentLeech?
  • c) From which country are you from?
  • d) Are you using any other torrent site? If yes,which one?
  • e) What is your email that the invite shall be sent to?

    Also, to REVOLUS MASTER off of FILEnetworks, you have to allow Awknet Communcations if you have something like Peerblock / PG2 enabled.

    @Zoo, there wasn’t really an interview process (for me at least, probably because they were so packed when I was there).

    Guys,chill … there is 12 hours and if there are more people they will extend the time for sure.
    Just that it takes time and there are a lot of users in the channel.Have a little patience.
    Keep on checking every 15 mins.Hey its saturday,prolly u have nothing to do except sit on pc :P

    I eventually got into the tlinvites channel, answered the questions, and received an invite. I noticed that whenever someone left the channel, another joined within a second. There must be quite a demand and many people repeatedly trying to join the channel.

    why would you post whta questions are being asked. Are you inviting the various anti-piracy groups inside? Maybe you are the anti-filesharing agency or one of them

    there is a growing anti-fsf amongst the private trackers … you can take that however you want

    For those who are complaining, at one point almost all of the staff who were doing the invites, myself included had up to 90 PM windows open, say it takes 30 seconds to take an email, invite the user, add the user to our abuse prevention system (You get ONE invite only, the amount of people trying to obtain more than one was simply staggering) and remove the user from the invite channel then that means those 90 people had anywhere up to a 45 minute wait time. If it took 40 seconds to do all that then you had up to a 1 hour wait. So show common sense and be patient please. Abusing unpaid people who are giving up their free time to invite you to a site that you obviously want to join was annoying to say the least.

    For those that got an invite, welcome to TL!

    For those like fredde who insulted us, sigh.

    I sat on that channel for over an hr waited for jibby or whatever was his name waiting in seperate chat channel for him to confirm to ask questions for only me to be timed out and then i couldent get back in. Whatever though pleanty of other private sites i belong to that i have no problem giving donations to they at least know how to run a tip top site. Noob jobs thats what i can tell ya

    They had no clue what they were doing they pissed off alot of people and prolly some other important people but guess what you win some and you loss some. IRC open invite was very how should you say not professional, specially when they were plastering in all these other news sites! You know how i found out they had invite because once i day i stop by there homepage to see whats going on! But i guess because i dident have a credit card number ready and my name is mr.green money bags i guess! I thought very highly of TL till last night even told other p2p’s that were knocking them that, they just don’t know! I mean come on they havent had open invite since 2007 and they still here!     since they did not turn off the wait times.. new users have to wait hours to download or even try and seed a torrent because of having no ratio.. not a good start for this “awesome” site.

    Why not TL? It has so many users you might as well be using Demonoid. With such little quality control in regard to who they let in the site, I certainly wouldn’t feel secure at all touching TL with a ten foot pole.
