DVDRSource and TVSource Merge to Create New Scene Tracker ‘XNT’

January 02, 10 by sharky   8,611  views

With 2010 being just a couple of days old, already two new trackers have dropped off the Internet - sadly DVDRSource.org and TVSource.org are no longer with us. While this could be considered a tragic event, we think you’ll agree that the outcome is better than the sum of its parts - both trackers have merged into one new "Excellent" tracker at www.xnt.nu. Gone are the old limits of just DVDR & TV releases; XNT is an impressive all-encompassing ‘general’ scene tracker that’s really taken off with a bang. Registration is currently open but don’t expect this to last forever.

EDIT: 2010-01-06 Public registration is now closed.

Today, XNT staff enlightened the masses on what happened:

You are probably wondering why both DVDRSource and TVSource went down without a word, and then XNT popped up. It’s time for some explanations.

Discussions between the owner of the two sites, Cage, and the rest of the staff had been going on for quite some time. Unfortunately the discussions got nowhere and staff had no other choice than to close both DVDRSource and TVSource. But we weren’t going to let things die so easily. Instead, we started building a new tracker, XNT (excellent). We imported the user databases from both DVDRSource and TVSource so your uploading/downloading on both trackers wouldn’t be for nothing.

Basically, XNT is the merge of DVDRSource and TVSource. That means that you can download DVDR, TV and other categories as well here.

The staff from both DVDRSource and TVSource are here staffing at XNT, with two exceptions. Of course Cage is not here anymore. And we’ve brought up a new member in our staff, pulchi. He had been working behind the scenes with TVSource for quite some time with both the auto upload script and some minor PHP development.

We hope that you will enjoy your stay here at XNT!

Some reminders as a last word. TVSource users should be able to login with their username and password, but users from DVDRSource will need to reset their password since the salt hashes aren’t the same. Also, users from DVDRSource will need to reset their passkey before they can download.

If you have any questions, please send a Staff PM, write a response to this thread or contact us in our IRC channel (#xnt @ irc.zenet.org).

Yours sincerely,

XNT Staff

As mentioned above, members from both TVSource and DVDRSource should be able to login with their old credentials. Old members who signed up anew can PM staff in regards to have their old ratios imported.

Review of XNT (Excellent.nu)

XNT is based on SweDVDR’s original source code; however, the major change is that the site is entirely English-only (including most of the forum areas). While some of the content (torrents) is Nordic, the vast majority of releases are English scene - making XNT similar to TTI.nu.

Like SweDVDR, XNT has two distinct browse pages (Browse & Archive) whereby the latter is reserved for non-pretime releases. Also worth noting is that XNT has sceneaxx, which is indicated by the pretimes displayed next to each torrent. Content is coming in fast, too - with 450+ new torrents added since January 1st.

The xnt tracker doesn’t bring anything new.. Another crappy attempt to keep themself alive from the staff @ dvdrsource… The story doesn’t tell that dvdrsource staff failed completely to keep alive their trackers the first time.. Not probably but more surely this tracker will fail even if 10k users donates all their savings.. thats whats the history avout this dudes tells us..

Anyhow, meanwhile i dont like them u maybe do? give it a chance but for lov of god dont donate
