ScenePalace.ORG - quite possibly the Internet’s first 2010
tracker, also happens to be one of the better ’scene’ trackers to
emerge in recent history. ScP is purposely absent from our latest
list of [new
trackers](../../06/25-new-private-trackers-january-2010-edition/ “25 New
Private Trackers: January 2010 Edition”) in order to avoid confusion
with ScenePalace.com - and also to provide readers with a closer
look into this brand-new 0sec/0day tracker. Already ranked #8 in
pretimes for releases in both spam and non-spam categories, ScP is
showing amazing potential - here’s a tracker not to be overlooked.

Rarely are scene trackers open publicly to registration without some form of screening or recruitment, but ScP has chosen to have open signups for a limited time. Staff have tipped us off that registration will likely cease once they reach 5,000 members.

ScenePalace’s design is still going through some growing pains (they’re officially still in beta), which can be expected from any new tracker with a main focus on churning out new releases. Similar to other scene trackers, ScP segments the scene releases into two distinct browse pages (regular ‘Browse’ for non-spam releases and ‘MP3/0Day’ for what is traditionally known as spam).

Freeleech — There’s a sitewide freeleech going on until January 20th; this is a great opportunity for members to build up some ratio before this tracker really begins to take shape.

Seedbox-Hosted — ScenePalace.org uses 5 (that’s right, 5) 1Gbit seedboxes to host all new torrents coming onto the tracker.

Sharky, very nice review. I joined ScP and it is looking to be a VERY promising trackers. As a matter of fact, in many releases, ScP has better pretimes than SCC as you can see in the following link:

The only thing that I am concerned about is how long it will last - after all, it is being hosted in the Netherlands (*ahem* BRIEN) with Ecatel. Only time will tell.

And I actually believed those pre-times, these people just announce the torrents, there is no data for at least 5 minutes after the torrent is added and the speed is not that good at all. I don’t also see the “5 seedboxes”, there is just one, at least for TVshows.

I’m not sure what connection and/or torrents you’ve been using.
But something don’t quite match my experience. I’m always getting max speed 9-10mb/s due to 1gbit seedbox on all torrents. Yay, there’s a delay on when a new torrent is announced to there’s a seeder, because of the autogeneration and hashing process.
But its no where near five minutes, maybe you’ve just being painful unlucky.

its still a new tracker, so of course theres still a lack of peers -
but its growing and getting better hours of hours.

I agree there are a lot of 0 day trackers .What I think is a bit more important than pre-times is the actual community.Now scenepalace.com is a great community .I know a lot of the staff and they are very friendly and helpful.I know for a fact if you want a torrent they will get it.No matter how old it is.I have a site myself and happen to know the owner and the staff .

So what happened in the end? About a month ago there was a notice on the front page saying ScP is not dead… and then it disappeared completely
I loved ScP while it was around. Pre-times were beating SCC/GFT quite often. It seemed like they lost their scene axx though, cause uploading stopped completely for a month or so, and then ScP went down.
