If there was ever a need for a niche tracker, this could just be it. Self-billed as a creativity tracker, Creative-Bits.org is a brand-new project based on Gazelle’s codebase that caters to all-things related to web design and programming, and a whole lot more. Being barely two months old, CB staff have agreed the time has come to go “live” and unveil itself to the torrent community. Interested? Here’s your chance to gain exclusive early access.

We are striving to be the place to get anything you need to be creative. Whether you want to create a Word Doc or a Web Site, a Video or Flier, a Blog or a Forum, we will have it all. The site is all about creativity and the resources it takes to be digitally creative. We’re planning on having: Fonts, Vectors, Templates, CMS (Content Management Systems), eBooks, Video Tutorials, Flash files, & all the Photoshop resources you could ever want. Although, that won’t be all we offer. We will also have Apps, eBooks and Comic Books available to you, and we hope you enjoy the variety!”
For the time being, registration to Creative-Bits is not open through the tracker directly. In all likelihood this will probably change; but when, we cannot begin to speculate (or rather, if openreg even happens at all). Earlybirds looking to join are directed to apply through their IRC invite channel. Serious applicants only; this is not a collector’s tracker!

Torrent Details Page:
With Gazelle in mind, Creative-Bits went out of their way to increase browsability and internal linkage/tagging of similar torrents. Take a torrent from their Templates category, for example. Shown below is the torrent details page for a common “template” (which in this case is a WordPress theme). You’ll find:
Torrent Info — An in-depth description about the torrent/release.
Image — A thumbnail to a larger screenshot; be it a theme/template, book, coverart, (if the release is a font, an example of the font will be shown).
Subcategory — Click the name of the subcat hyperlink to take you to all other torrents of the same genre.
Company — Members are able to browse all other torrents on site that pertain to that same company (ie - Themeforest, FontFont, Lynda, etc).
Try The Demo — For individual themes & templates (and fonts), often there’ll be a direct link to view an actual working demo online.
Conveniently many of these same features also appear on the main browse page, without the need to ‘click-in’ on the details:
With just 40 members so far, CreativeBits already boasts in excess of 300 torrents. Categories include Templates, Tutorials, Coding, Graphics, Scripts, Software, eBooks and Fonts - as well as a variety of subcategories. As with most eLearning trackers, all members are permitted to upload torrents.
